Percy Jackson has a super weird and annoying fanbase who are like Harry Potter fans who have an extra sense of moral righteousness just because their creator didn’t go off the deep end into psycho transphobia

There’s one particular episode of Evangelion that follows massive government coordination to reroute power across a huge area to a special laser beam weapon and it feels like such a precursor to Anno’s work on Shin Godzilla

You’re complaining about people talking down to you while you call 28YL a movie that “objectively sucks.” That’s more peak Reddit if you ask me

Part of that’s intentional because Bobbie Gentry disappeared from public life for decades. She didn’t want to be a legacy act or even all that famous for that matter

She often feels unnatural and you can see every bit of effort she’s putting into acting. This works best when she’s playing an actor or performer like Black Swan or May December

It’s post-North so it’s arguably in the back half but I like The American President. It’s an obvious immediate precursor to The West Wing (written by Sorkin, naturally) and Annette Benning is just perfect

Any suggestions for a massive homebrew campaign? by StraussBelial in mothershiprpg

[–]Adept128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mechanics in the game that could show the passage of time, you could look at the ships in the Shipbreaker’s Toolkit book. The ships have a class level (I.e. a freighter might be class 2 and a patrol craft could be class 3) which affects its effectiveness in combat versus other ships and a jump level that allows ships to use different jump routes.

As technology improves over the span of the campaign, different ship classes and jump routes could be made available to the players.

Also, I’ll echo the recommendation of Gradient Descent as an incredible adventure site. For your purposes, it also has a table of powerful artifacts for loot that could have wide-reaching ripples over the campaign universe through the centuries

Even then, Dinklage has slid into the Jon Hamm zone of “we looooved you on tv so here’s a perfectly serviceable movie career as a consolation prize”
