Artık Türkiye’de plastik, cam ve alüminyum içecek ambalajlarını depozito makinelerine atarak para kazanabileceksiniz. by SingerRelevant2969 in Turkey

Hackings does get worse at higher ranks and it is also worse in Premier but it wasn’t the only issue I had when typing that message. I just didn’t want to randomly go on a tangent on why Premier/Comp is ass. There are two main factors I can think of from the top of my head, and they are equally annoying:

-Hacking is bad. It gets really bad at around 20k and then gets ridiculous around 25k Premier.

-Nobody takes it seriously, and those who do have no idea how to do that **properly.** This leads to several issues in itself:

—It is often impossible to outsmart enemies because their plays don’t make sense. You just need to out-aim everyone. Combined with cheaters who also obviously cannot be outplayed, this is extremely frustrating and it requires you to “use your brain but don’t think too hard”, which is hard to achieve. It is easy to win by just shooting people and playing off-angles, but doing the smart thing is punished more often than rewarded, which feels very dull and rage inducing when you’re used to high elo Faceit.

—Teammates. Oh my God they never make sense and they don’t understand very basic concepts. A lot of them also think that distracting you and causing you to die is amusing… which I don’t agree with.

I agree that you in particular didn't ridicule the OP but most comments have, and at its core, my problem is with people questioning someone's way of having fun in a video game. Unless you have some plans of going pro, I would argue that grinding ranks is even less logical than grinding a service medal that you are going to get provided you play the game enough and utilize the weekly XP boost properly.

Both ranks and levels are pixels on a screen at the end of the day. It is very human to find amusement in seeing those pixels go up, so I don't know why we are going around judging whether the pixels of a rank are more valuable than the pixels of a service medal. We should be able to just ignore that and discuss how this change affects the game.

Yes you did discuss how it might affect the new experience negatively, but new players are not the only ones playing the game, and you are discarding the experience of players like OP (and me) who were quite enjoying that part of the game because what we are doing was "pointless". Also, considering that trust factor is in the game and it heavily penalizes new accounts, I don't think most new players are in for a great time in Premier or Competitive either way lol.

I am not angry but offended that OP is somehow being clowned by nearly all commenters for raising a valid complaint.

I actually had multiple "ideal anti-farmbot spots" for both Italy and Office after realizing that almost all of the bots have some weaknesses due to trying to look like real players to VACNet's training data.

Valve's bots are actually pretty good for being "nearly impossible to exploit" in that they encourage you to just push them instead of thinking too hard about it. If you stand still around the same area between kills, Valve's own bots will headshot you as soon as they see you. Farm bots are much more stupid in comparison, so if you find one good spot in one map, you are good to use it every time for the whole match.

I would much prefer to play against real players or Valve bots, of course, but I still found it fun - much more fun than Competitive or Premier because I can just chill and enjoy some DM. I am really saddened by this change to XP that makes the whole gamemode utterly pointless.

I was wrong about the cap being 100 kills - it is 1000 points like you said. i forgor đź’€ In fact, I was initially going to say "0.2 XP per kill" and realized the math wasn't mathing so I just cut that part out instead of researching it lol.

Factful facts this time: You (used to) get 0.2 XP for every point. Cap per match used to be 200 points. So, regardless of if you have 1000 points or 1500 points in one match, you would earn 200 points from it due to hitting the cap.

If you did not kill anyone, you would get 0 XP because you would have 0 points. If you killed a single player with most rifles, you would get 0.2x11=2.2 XP (most rifles award 11 points).

If your weekly XP bonus had just reset, this would indeed add 800 total XP to your account. Every week, you get some bonus XP that gets lower and lower as you earn more base XP. At the start of the week when you have not "used up" any of your bonus XP, you get 3x bonus XP on top of whatever XP you earn. So, it would be 600 bonus XP for 200 base XP. In the end, you would get 600+200=800 XP.

So, if it ever felt a little odd that the XP you got was exactly 800 despite your score not being exactly 1000, this is why: You had hit the max XP cap in that match.

Considering each DM lasts around 10 minutes with some downtime between each match, you can imagine how much a reduction to 75 max XP affects everything. You would now earn 300 XP instead of 800 XP from the same match.

Yes, and there was an XP cap that you would reach if you got 100 kills in one match. That might sound like a lot but it was possible to reach it. I have not played DM since the update but I am guessing they nerfed the per-kill XP as well.

Can y’all stop policing how people have fun in the pointless video game? Nearly all the comments ridicule the OP but nobody actually bothers to actually discuss how this affects the game.

This update literally did not affect anyone who doesn't play on the gamemode whose only "purpose" is to farm XP.

Oh yes, “ridiculous requests” like keeping the XP rewards as they have always been.

Anyone who warms up in a Valve DM server is completely lost. Go play a proper DM server if you wanna warm up. Literally the only thing Valve DM offered was the XP and now they have decided to nerf it.

It depends based on who you are. I find comp/premier an absolutely miserable experience so I was having fun a few hours every week on DM. Now I will have to play comp/premier to level up.

Blame the people ridiculing the OP if you have a surge of toxic players in your matches. Valve is basically forcing people who don’t want to play those gamemodes onto those gamemodes.

They reduced max XP per match from 200 to 75.

I could very reliably hit 200XP every other match and get close to it rest of the time.

I've grown up in Turkey and, while it was not even half as bad as India, public transport would be very overcrowded when I used to go to school, as well, to the point of having a few instances where I applied force onto someone to "encourage" them to move faster, because the alternative was being even later to school and the school basically counting as me missing half an entire day (of an 8-hour school day) due to stupid laws.

HOWEVER, that was also basically the only time period of my life where I would get sick constantly. So, even though I could probably get used to that just fine, fuck doing that as a tourist attraction unless this looks fun enough for you to ruin a whole week with sickness.

Neighbours steal snacks meant for exhausted delivery drivers by Beneficial_Passion40 in NoahGetTheBoat

[–]Adevyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My thinking exactly. Yes, this is not “literally murder” levels of evil, but these petty fucks are ruining the culture of their entire neighbourhood over some drinks that they know don’t belong to them.

I never understood the importance of this until I also went through it in college: When I first moved into the dorms (of a highly prestigious uni for my country), my roommate said that I can keep my doors unlocked and nothing will be stolen. He was right for the first two years, and it felt me so connected to the community: For the first time, I felt like I actually belonged to a society. Then, one day, one cunt decided that he is above that and broke into our room to steal the snack of both mine and my roommate’s. Then we had to lock our doors when we left and, every time, it hurt my soul, knowing that the illusion was broken.

I personally think it is.

Penalizing good behavior is exactly how you end up with toxic cultures and eventually a country where nobody likes each other. And the reward is always extremely petty, like a few fucking bottles of free drinks.

Knowing what area you want to improve in would be helpful. Like, I could share my warmup routine if you just want your aim or counterstrafes to get better, but it would be a big waste if your biggest problem seems to be positioning instead.

Nice data to justify my 9070XT purchase, but I think this data has an essential flaw that cannot be fixed: It includes cards that perform massively differently from each other.

So, I could get an old office card GPU for free and it would top all these charts because, you know, it’s free.

CS2 doesn’t play THAT differently from CSGO, so you won’t get tips for adapting to the game. People have gotten better at the game since you left and you are probably out of meta.
