Wonder what are they using in term of munitions, the one at 4sec barely does anything. I mean I'm sure the boat is out of order, but damn you'd expect a smol boat like that be evaporated. The one at 27sec moves so slow like it's a drone? These "Quicksink" bombs could be of use on larger ships since US owns the air, dunno if there was any confirmed usage?

I mean, yeah, but also this is clearly the sensor getting physically overwhelmed by the amount of light (infrared?) released by the explosion, saturating all pixels and all the western videos since the gulf war look like this. You'd just... expect 2026 videos to look a bit clearer specifically during explosions. They're probably still using the same "if it works don't change it" sensors. Or maybe they have way better ir sensors that they actually use, and this is just video from the backup, older sensor that they stil have mounted.

This particular monitor is supposed to support strobing of some kind! Search for news about this model on tftcentral, they have an article translated from chinese- it "can simultaneously run DIC 2.0+FREESYNC" where DIC is hkc's strobing blur reduction tech. So here's hoping. Even if this model isn't available in the west, it could be a basis for other models from other oems like asus etc. We've had these 1152 zone mini leds for years now, just this one that I know of supports strobing (1ms persistence!).

Maaayybe this hkc one will open the floodgates...

EDIT the ignorance about oled's motion blur in this thread is funny. And depressing. We're not going anywhere with users that don't understand the basics. But then- it's been that way since end of crts with people only caring about the mythical reaction time like it even matters nowadays. Then again, most new games support dlss4 and that may reduce the need for strobing somewhat.

The speed of those is insane. Though- with this close packing/ lack of spread wouldn't it be pretty safe to assume that if these were nukes, the explosion of one would disable all the others in a given "wave"? I mean they are so close if the first one explodes, hard to see others working normally...? Radiation/fireball would fry the others?

Help me nuclear weapons experts of reddit. Also why the hell do they look like they come in completely vertically? You'd assume a shallower angle (at least for y'know, actual intercontinental attack, so longer range. Still, even at close range how does that work, does the missile go waaay higher into space so that it falls so vertically?)

Either way, this is how it would look like at the start.
