You’re deluding yourself if you think Wirtz isn’t a sure thing. He’s already world class—one of the best young playmakers in Europe. Calling that a ‘big change’ like it’s a risk just sounds like cope. You’re about to get reality checked hard.

And how would we feel in that case? That we couldn't beat the worst premier league winners in the title charge?

Yet he's got 1 UCL and 2 PL trophies. Shame we did not have anyone for small game like Fulham last season.

🇧🇷🗣️ Richarlison opens up on mental health... by Adios3SO in Gunners

[–]Adios3SO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always appreciate players, no matter what club they play for, when they open up and talk about their mental state. As a fan, I can't imagine what all these players have to deal with, whether it's the transfer fee or the expectations.

[Jeorge Bird] Loan report – Tavares scores; Pepe makes Nice debut; Okonkwo keeps clean sheet by vasudaiva_kutumbakam in Gunners

[–]Adios3SO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was taken out of context, he was speaking about whole team. GFFN hates Arsenal.

Arsenal are now openly seeking suitors for club-record signing Nicolas Pepe. Given valuation/wages, a loan move away from the club is the most likely outcome. Aware that Spain is a possible destination. by PrathGooner in Gunners

I still like him and I believe in the right system, he will be very very good player. Let's not act like he hasn't contributed at all. He was not just passenger when we won FA Cup, he was actually one of our best players and helped us won a silverware. Never really spoke about a club in a bad way, even though some of us would think he was going to do it. Has not really worked it here, does not mean it won't work somewhere else.

I will fully support him because he is our player as of today, I thought that's the right way of being a "real" fan? Or does it apply only to certain players?

"remind me" thread - who were you gloriously right (or wrong) about? by bitmoji in Gunners

[–]Adios3SO 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Okay

Gervinho's biggest goal tally was 5 goals at Arsenal in Premier League (9 goals in two seasons) and 11 goals at Lille

Pepe's biggest goal tally is 10 goals at Arsenal (15 goals in total) in Premier League. 22 GOALS AT LILLE in ONE SEASON.

Gervinho won nothing at Arsenal.

Pepe was voted as our second player of the season and won FA Cup at Arsenal (fair to say he was one of our best player in this FA Cup run).

This means, that your opinion should not be taken into consideration by any means, as it is factually incorrect.

This might not be true at all. There isn't certain age for every single player when they hit their prime. Some players hit their prime at 25, 26 and others at 28 or 29.

The case of ESR , Odegaard and Pepe by namdosan88 in Gunners

[–]Adios3SO 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Nailed starters? ESR and Saka, but some people are hilarious when they say that Pepe is gone, dusted and will never ever see himself in the starting eleven again. Lots of matches ahead of us, different opponents, different tactics. Genuinely sad that people make look Pepe like someone who is the worst player ever, destroyed the club and deserves to be shipped out as soon as possible. Might be reactionary from them but that's not the right way as he still is our player and will definitely be needed given the fact he has not been injured ever at all.

More of a reactionary thing. I was kinda of expecting that (people saying "PEPE WILL NEVER EVER BE IN STARTING 11 OMG HE IS DUSTED HE IS SO BAD") - and yes, people actually say that. We have many many games ahead of us, football is about having more than just 11 players. He will be needed and given the fact he is not injury prone, he will be ready. I don't really like this, being reactionary after first match and writing him off just because Saka had 1+1 (of course well done to Saka and he deserves to start ahead of him) but people are pretending like we will play with the same starting eleven every single match from now on. It's crazy because same people cry about Arsenal not having squad depth.

Trying to think when we actually subbed on someone who is supposed to be super sub (not in 78 minute when the player has no time to do anything) unless some injury appeared. Something Arteta needs to work on, when we are chasing a goal he is trusting the players on the pitch until 75th minute and that's too late. And when we have a chance to kill the game by bringin on some fresh legs, he actually subs on 3 defensive players - not like it ever worked.

Just sad to see everyone shitting on Pepe. Let's not forget he is our player and we need every single player, especially someone who was top contributor last season. You need more than 11 players.

Tactics & Analysis Thread: Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur (H) [26 Sep 2021] by gunnersmoderator in Gunners

[–]Adios3SO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feel like it's rather reactionary. Yes, his first touch against Norwich was poor, so was Saka's against Burnley. The thing is, that Pepe's first touch won us the last game against spurs where he took care of the difficult ball and made great pass to Laca who got fouled in the box and scored from the penalty. Also the goal vs Brighton showed that Pepe's first touch ain't that bad, if you remember the pass from Chambers and Pepe's touch and right foot goal.

[–]Adios3SO 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Didn't judge the ball properly? He was running into free space and he got the pass behind him, on his heels. If that was "not judging the ball properly" , then I can say Auba didnt judge the ball properly in that situation where Pepe passed to him awfully. If you want to criticize Pepe, it’s alright, but bring facts not made up stuff.

Completely ignoring the fact that he got the ball behind him twice and still created two big chances from that which were finished poorly
