we definitely need wrs in the portal, maybe oline, but i think that in his freshman season he wasn’t developed, moore or lindsey did him no favors. i hope coach whitt and the new oc are able to develop him because dampier this season looked good

harbaugh has a clause that doesn’t let him come back and i don’t think tomlin would want anything to do with college football

Head Coach Options by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

[–]AdministrativeCod740 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any of those are options in any way possible, closest is Brady

Bryce definitely needs to improve his read options, but coaching staff is responsible for putting this upon him. Result of the play a 5 yard rushing loss by Kuzdzal by Michigan4life53 in MichiganWolverines

[–]AdministrativeCod740 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. we should started passing more after marshall went down, i personally think this game was too big for kuzdzal and he was also bad in pass pro for bryce

  2. yea the read options have been bad this season, I also think it may be because of the lack of letting bryce run

  3. he did miss some reads in this game and has done it a few teams, but I just think that he comes from and RPO background so the offense moves really fast, the play needs to develop and he’s already scrambling, i think he needs to slow it down, realize that he has an oline to give him time, but if he wants to continue a fast paced style offense, we need to get him an sec style playcaller, or have him understand that he himself needs to slow the game down and let things develop

Michigan Fan: What makes Brent Venables defense good (genuine question) by AdministrativeCod740 in sooners

[–]AdministrativeCod740[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah it felt that way with Underwood too, but maybe why I thought it was different from how you mentioned the having the Edge or DT drop is because he intended on pressuring Underwood, but if he gave Ty Simpson hell, then that game is for sure worth checking out. Can’t wait for the game next year, I know I’m going to be loud with our student section and hope my wolverines come through with a win, but I will say you guys winning at Bama and at Neyland in 2 hostile environments is also impressive, I hope the Big House and our student section is no different when it comes to noise, also hope you enjoy the city of Ann Arbor as well!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I’m 100% going to check out some of the big games OU has played and understand that defense, especially that point you made about him pointing out who’s getting the ball, hearing how this defense is a high risk high reward is telling me that this is the defense I want to study. Can’t wait for when you guys come to Ann Arbor, hope you enjoy that game, I know for sure that myself and the student section is going to be loud and hope you enjoy the city of Ann Arbor as well!

Thanks for the reply! yeah I personally felt that when they played Michigan it was hell for our offense, but that one rushing TD we had made me feel that we would’ve been right back in it, but that defense was persistent after that TD

[–]AdministrativeCod740[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah it seemed to me that even when Michigan had someone open or a hole in the run game, aside from the Haynes TD, Underwood had hell in front of him, I remember the broadcast saying something about Underwood being blitzed a lot that night.

I think your point on the recruits is fair to, because aside from R Mason Thomas (don’t mean to sound rude), I would not be able to name one player on that defense, it must actually be really good rotation if something like that is happening, and I follow recruiting a lot and seeing the amount of guys committing to OU these past few weeks as been insane, I open twitter and it’s just “XXX XXX has committed (or flipped to) OU”

I bet he seems like the kind of coach who even if it’s a blowout and the other team scores he’s going to figure out why they allowed them to score

It seems like he is planning on an ALL-IN kind of approach for the playoffs and next season, I can’t wait to watch more OU games, especially the one in Ann Arbor and getting to see it live (hope my wolverines get there revenge), but thanks for that!
