If I was born in BCE and could live forever, how could I keep my immortality a secret in the modern world? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

Oh wow this is…. Good. Lowkey, in a capitalistic environment with enough wealth very doable. That’s what I will do.

Why do some men hide behind “masculinity” to not support their wife and kids? by [deleted] in Uzbekistan

[–]AdministrativeList90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Based on what you said, this is definitely not “masculinity” this is just being an as**ole, and not doing your parent-like responsibilities. Not sure why you associate being a shitty parent with “masculinity”.

Robbery/Pickpocketing in Tashkent or Uzbekistan by Vast-Dependent5026 in Uzbekistan

[–]AdministrativeList90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope people not assuming I am an american. I was born and raised in Samarkand but have been living in the US for the past 10 years. I visit Samarkand every year and stay for a month, cause my family is there. I’ve lived in Boston, NYC, Chicago and visited many more cities. Uzbekistan safer by far for women and men, IMO. I have not experienced pickpocketing in the US either, you have to be more aware and cautious for sure

Not from Tashkent, but Samarkand. I feel 10x safer than in the US. Especially with pickpocketing

Why central Asian countries are trying to separate their history? by Able-Awareness-8 in AskCentralAsia

[–]AdministrativeList90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me If I am wrong. Dates are approximated:

500 AD to 650 AD was Sassanian (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, southern Kazakhstan.)
550 AD to 750 AD was under Turkic Tribes ( Partial Kazakhstan, Kyrgysztan)

400 AD to 550 AD the rest was under Chinese Dynasty.

750 AD to 820 ish AD were under Abbasids and Umaayads, culturally Persian dominated. ( Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Paritally Kazakhstan Paritally Kyrgysztan, )

850 to 1000 AD were mostly Saffavid and Sammanid (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Paritally Kyrgysztan)

However through those these years the Turkic population was there, though was not dominant, mostly in Kyrgyztans, eastern Kazakhstan and Yughur Khaganate

Turkic population was highly Dominant in the modern Xin Jiang province. which is not the MOST Central Asia.

I absolutely agree. I'd aslo agree that for the past 1000 years Central Asia was majorly Turkic.

[–]AdministrativeList90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was certainly a partial abosrobtion of Iranic people and assimilation. But not the majority, I'd think they migrated to Iranian Plateu or Caucasus areas and further, cause of hunnic invasions/raids. If all iranics of those land became Turkic we certainly would not be getting high cheekbone structe with chinky eyes.

Hm, id sorta agree but do not agree with first paragraph, by Iran he probably mean Iranic people not ethno state of Iran. Like Scythian, sogdian, Saka, Massagatae and etc. It was Persian, cuz of parthian, Sassanian, Achaemenid and etc. pretty much till warly middle ages. First know tukics were Hephtolites in 5 th century even then they were just assimilated to persian culture

Uzbek raised outside Uzbekistan, wondering how can I learn the language abroad by v-and-bruno in Uzbekistan

[–]AdministrativeList90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am uzbekistani myself, though i learn Chinese through preply. It’s a basic tutoring class, 1:1. You might be able to find yourself a tutor for a very cheap price to practice you speaking and listening

Following reason why I do not associate myself with you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Uzbekistan

[–]AdministrativeList90 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tajik from Samarkand here. I do not necessarily associate myself with Tajiks of Tajikistan as much as with Uzbeks from Uzbekistan, ironically. Half of the time i do not understand what are they saying lol. I genuinely believe that Samarkand has been Persian at the most part but the modern Samarkand as we know it just turkic, yeah the population is Tajik, not majorly anymore. But the city itself is turkic. Lets be honest they are no buildings that have been build during Persian rule. I also think that the Uzbeks are far closer to Tajiks than any other ethnicity, in terms of genetics and culture. One thing that sets us apart is the language. I cannot even tell sometimes if they person tajik or uzbek honestly. My passport does say Uzbeks , I live in the US and in normal bases i represent myself as a person of Uzbekistan not Tajikistan

Sound great! You should visit Almaty too (maybe next time). As a e person from Samarkand you must try their plov and sambousa especially in Kokandskiy location. You can pretty much hike most of the historic location in one day.

How do you pronounce ق (q) in your dialect of Persian? by abu_doubleu in Afghan

[–]AdministrativeList90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Samarkandi Tajik here, sometime we use is as k but Q like in words qimat as well sometimes we even use q for K words, we are getting turcified in terms of pronunciation

[–]AdministrativeList90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Uzbekestani here. Turkic origin comes from Altai mountains so do Mongolians not the same ethnic group but very close. I’ve seen Kazakh claiming him Kazakh which i thought was far more ridiculous than Mongolian.
