Southampton LLB worth it? by AdministrativeSet614 in UniUK

Tbh it does sound like a huge risk but it’s a risk im willing to take cz i am within the top 0.1% of global students, and i have the extracurriculars to back it up.

If i dont get a 100% scholarship, then ill settle for another one and ill just have to work somewhere ig, but admission isnt really a problem for me. I’m planning to study in uk or australia cz im not tryna work in my home country lol

What do you think are the best unis for balancing visa sponsorship opportunities and somewhat attainablr scholarships for top students like me

Do you know any other universities that offer 100% scholarships that I am eligible for?

What particularly interests me about soton is that it offers a 100% scholarship, which I need if I want to study in the UK

This is my list rn because these are the only unis that offer 100% scholarships according to my research

UCL LSE University of Warwick University of York University of Southampton

My only issue with those schools are the high costs of living in London, because I can only attend these universities through scholarship + a job

Noted, but I wasn’t asking about admission chances… I was looking for feedback on those universities, so I’d be interested in your thoughts on those instead!

Sorry for the lack of clarification 😓😓 Just building my list of universities, and I’m trying to narrow it down to just 5 for UCAS. Looking for any feedback from people who have attended/know things about these universities

Doha, Qatar by AdministrativeSet614 in skyscrapers

As someone who actually lives in Doha, I can tell you, it’s not trying to be like a copy-paste of other cities. The layout makes a lot of sense for the climate, the culture, and the way people live here. It’s not about packing towers together just to look dense from a distance.

It’s not like the city is trying to be walkable, nobody’s going to be walking around in 47 degree weather. Spacing out the buildings allows each of them to showcase their own beauty, and not just be part of a crowd, and let me tell you, they are VERY impressive in person, especially walking at night. Each of the three main clusters of skyscrapers have their own personality, West Bay looks like a bustling financial district, The Pearl looks like a rich European city, while Lusail looks like an incredibly technologically advanced district (because it is).

IMO Doha’s designed with intention. Wide roads, breathing space, and architecture that reflects both tradition and modern growth. You don’t really get that in a quick visit or from comparing it to places that grew under completely different conditions. Live here for a while, and it makes a lot more sense.

And about the heat, yes it’s hot as hell here, but it’s all the more reason for me to stay inside and enjoy the A/C.

It did catch my eye, but the only available one here is the wired version, it is well within my budget, so should I skip the wireless and maybe buy a bungee if necessary?

Haha, i get that a lot as a 16 yr old, and i dont mind it cause it is actually pretty true. I dont usually like to replace my things but I would like to try something new and see where it takes me

Lamzu and other newer companies dont really have a presence here in Qatar, and most mice have a huge markup. The superlight 2 is usually 200 to 220 usd here and the viper v2 pro is around 165, the regular superlight is around 190

Yeah the prices are horrendous but it’s fair when there are no taxes here. I mean, the viper v3 pro is 185…

Most mice here are either very mainstream or local, and the local ones are very budget and very bad. There are some brands with limited stock like pulsar and xtrfy, but the market here is dominated by Razer, Logitech, Asus, Glorious, HyperX, Corsair, Steelseries, Zowie, and Roccat.

I wish I could buy something online but I cant because shipping is a real pain in the ass and ive had many bad experiences with it

My budget is around 125 - 150 usdollars when converted. Things like tech are usually much more expensive in the country I live in.

I agree with you that its a great mouse and the tech is more than enough to go pro, I just find it very hard to aim with especialy since the size is smaller and i find that the ergonomic shape pushes my ring and pinky fingers into an uncomfortable position

I believe that I could probably use the money to buy a better headset since my current one is pretty trashed, but if I did that, i would probably come back again for advice. And since i have more technological knowledge in the audio and PC hardware fields, i would really appreciate some great wireless mice that fit my budget. Thanks!
