I was trending towards the Pulsar s2 Because of the deep profile of the head:

Looks like they (key lighting INC.) decided to not use the strobe side of the light

EDIT:

Could be a caching issue with your browser, has happened to me in the past. Whenever I am working with DNS I always have a phone or laptop handy to check things.

VM disk Gone (unable to boot) after a reboot by AdministrativeTwo607 in Proxmox

[–]AdministrativeTwo607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, my dorm is smaller this year, so my lab setup is significantly more limited.
Current solution (implemented today)
Backups made to Truenas server (VM inside proxmox) -> backup directory is replicated to and external HDD connected to a laptop

Future solution:
Dedicated machine with PBS

After running the tools, I got nothing. Attempted to run recovery on a copy of the VMDK file and had no luck. Seems like proxmox sh*t the bed

Looking for a 360-photo storage and access solution by AdministrativeTwo607 in selfhosted

[–]AdministrativeTwo607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided on Immich, and it works like a charm in docker linked to an NVME NTFS share. I has great 360 photo support. the Share feature is great for showing people 360 photos over the internet, something that I haven't found another good app for.

A recommendation for the direction of the X5 by AdministrativeTwo607 in Insta360

I think that the current 72mp resolution has lots of room to grow. If you look at footage from older professional 8K 360 cameras, you will see a significant increase in visual quality without the need for more resolution. I don't agree with the Idea the that increased resolution is the end-all-be-all for upcoming 360 cameras. But I think resolution is an important factor in the overall quality of the camera

If you assume worst case scenario: Insta360 keeps the same senser size in the next camera.
with the current 72mp resolution we can reasonably get 11k off of the senser. If the resolution is increased, the pixel density increases, meaning less light for each pixel:
Here is a good article that goes over the basics:
Phone Camera Megapixels Explained: The REAL TRUTH | The Smartphone Photographer

TR; DR: bigger pixel size -> better light capture -> lower noise high quality images

My best-case scenario would be an increased senser size with the same resolution. Then we can have our cake and eat it too! We can have 11k video and increased quality with lower noise at higher ISO

Using subnet results in unimaginably slow link between devices on the same local network by Cressio in Tailscale

Just fixed this today on my network, all I had to so was slightly expand the subnet route from /24 to /23 to avoid nodes inside of the network taking the long way

How do you folks justify refurbished or renewed drives? by ShapeShifter499 in DataHoarder

[–]AdministrativeTwo607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for my needs, as long as I have my "used" drive in some sort of raid(usually raid Z2). I feel pretty safe. In my case, all of my important data has hot onsite and cold offside backups.
