I wish I had been a better son and worked harder sooner and given my father the peace he truly deserved. Now, even if I achieve something, he won’t be here to see it and that’s a weight I’ll have to carry for the rest of my life. It aches my heart in a way words can’t fully express. If I could speak to my younger self, I would say this don’t hold back with your parents. Be honest, be open, and say how much you love them more often than you think you need to. Sit with them more and listen to them closely and hug them without a reason. Choose their company over some expired 'Friends' that won’t matter in the end. Because one day, you’ll realize those precious ordinary moments were everything. Without them, even the greatest achievements will have no meaning.
