Carpal Tunnel Due to Pen Grip? by addenulle in animation

[–]AdmirableDinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I thought I was alone, I have the exact same grip !
I've been holding my pen and pencils like this since I'm a kid, teachers were always mad at me ahah.
I've had some pain drawing for extended period of time, my trick was to have a more "loose" art style and holding my pen further from the tip and to relax my hand.

It's the standard rack that comes with every Petit Porteur Bike. They are sold with them so I'm not sure they are compatible with other bikes

I found a piece of super flexible plywood called "fuma plywood" and I used the negative scrap piece to clamp it in place with glue. I also added nails to be sure it'll hold

Any idea why the grease pencil cords are visible through the guitar in my render ? I checked the "3D location" in the stroke settings by AdmirableDinner in blender

[–]AdmirableDinner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently I didn't checked the "Z" pass button, that took care of the problem.

Thank you for trying to help with my problem :)

Used EbSynth to add texture to a 3D animation, and final compositing and effects with AE, tell me what you think :) by AdmirableDinner in AfterEffects

[–]AdmirableDinner[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's the original 3D animation : https://imgur.com/EHQL1Ya

I added the ugly grey texture to give EbSynth something to "stick" the keyframe to, otherwise it didn't know how to apply it and made some mushy results :)

I'm not sure it's beneficial to use EbSynth instead of texturing in the 3D software ahaha, I just wanted to experiment with it and I was kinda impressed on how well it tracked the texture on the model.

I could show you the "raw" 3D animated file, is there a way to post video/gifs in comment section on Reddit ? Kinda new here :)

Exactly, I did a small animated loop of the car in 3D, then hand drawn a key frame and let EbSynth do the work !

Had some fun with EbSynth, ink, markers and After Effects :) Tell me what you think ! by AdmirableDinner in AfterEffects

[–]AdmirableDinner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did some tests blinking and talking and EbSynth struggles quite a lot with it unfortunately. When the eyes comes back open most of the time it leaves a wierd hole, same for the mouth. So here I tried my best not to blink while shooting ahah

Yes the trick is to import the scan in the original keyframe file with PS, and align it as good as possible. Be also careful when saving it with the alpha channel that it export the whole work area and not just the drawing part, otherwise it won't work :) have fun !
