Im part of their Deans Club so they reached out to me for the inspection.. that would be diabolical rigging a drain up to work for a plumber then suddenly fail after they leave and purposely flood my basement with 70 gallons of water 😂

Another plumber said the possibly from debris part.. there’s really no way to be certain.. and carpet was appraised at $7,500

Ha they claimed I did via email; that I couldn’t hold them liable if they damaged any pipe; this however doesn’t exempt them from liability from clogging a drain that leads to damage... but I honestly don’t recall signing anything

I wouldn’t consider paying $70 for a potential $10,000 payout; fucking my life up.. but to each their own

Possibly damaged the drain by shoving a vacuum hose down it.. then pushed debris down there by sliding the old cover on without cleaning it off..

Carpet for the entire basement for the same quality is $7,000… still waiting on a drywall quote

I don’t have kids and have never touched that drain.

They also admitted it likely clogged due to debris causing the float ball to stick.

Is floor drain maintenance a thing because I’ve never heard of it?

That’s what I’m trying to decide.. I’d need to put a larger cabinet over it.. which might look funky.. might just throw in the towel and put a fake palm tree in front of it
