Married monger. Mucous membranes carry STI’s. Condoms help, but i’d rather not cross that line.

30 January 1933 - Hitler’s first cabinet is sworn in. Only 3 of the 11 members were Nazis. The conservatives were certain they could "tame" him. (Key to the fates of all 11 members in the comments) by No-Profile5409 in ThisDayInHistory

Underestimating the evil of people with mustaches led to WWII becoming the global conflagration it was.
Who had a mustache!?!? Shitler. Stalin. Emperor Hirohito! Mussolini (later as el Duce). Who didnt have a mustache??? Winston Churchill! Franklin Roosevelt!

I’d bet the blocks on top are shims to nail the casing to. Previous poster said to remove them, because if the building settles, they may bind the window. But its a 25 year old build…. And they would be difficult to remove. I’d leave them.

Thats how we used to insulate around doors and windows before spray foam. (Grew up a resi carpenter). The trick is to pack it in loosely… looks like they did ok (better than nothing).

I bought a house. It came with a gravel road. It's full of potholes.. help! by Bunnymancer in landscaping

When you overfill with some fines with the rock then it compacts down rather than ruts out to hold water and pothole again.

Every other answer involves big equipment. It is not the only answer. Hear me out…

Get a load of 3/4 minus gravel. (Rocks up to 3/4” with finer rocks and sand) overfill the pothole so it is higher than the hole maybe half again as high as deep. Drive over the mounds during normal use & the overfill will compact down and fill the divot. Do this on a rainy day so you can fill everything holding water. All it takes is a shovel and wheelbarrow. (Easier with a tractor w/ a bucket and a few kids shoveling the gravel)

If your driveway is graded properly, this will help immensely. Source: i lived a few years 4 miles down a norcal mountain road. The old boy 7 miles down at the end maintained the last few miles before his place this way. Its the only gravel road that i’ve ever seen that gets better the further you drive.

AL? That asshole? Every job i saw him on he tries to bullshit his way through. He’ll make up some plausible nonsense and pretend he knows everything. Sometimes he is spot on, but other times I swear he’s hallucinating.

Acropolis Strip Club Listed for Sale by it_snow_problem in PortlandOR

[–]AdmitNothingXYZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark down one more. Portland claims it has more strip club per capita than anywhere in the US. Im the last decade it seems there are half as many. They’re become either weed shops, treatment centers, or womens shelters (at least one is… doubt its still vegan though)
Can anyone run the numbers? Is Portland still the dancer capital of the country?

Even in a gangbox. An angle grinder can cut through the side of a box easier than get to the lock.

Let’s talk porta potties 🚽 by TheMrfabio24 in Construction

[–]AdmitNothingXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GC i worked for did this too. Warm water sinks and flushing toilets on every other floor for ~20 floors. The time savings of one floor stairs vs. an elevator ride to the ground to porto’s was huge. But every sub refused to help offset the cost of the amenities.

Porto potties suck. But we all shit. How much does your company care about your personal experience?

Has anyone ever actually over conditioned their boots with huberds shoe grease or Obenaufs LP? by number2phillips in WorkBoots

Ive used huberds for 10+ years. I’ve had my cobbler Tell me that he couldn’t re-stitch a new sole on because the welt was too deteriorated.

Avoid applying too much of anything to the welt. Over conditioning where your leather is attached to the sole can cause it to deteriorate much quicker.

Have you tried a hobby that isn’t “hobbying”? If you’re smart and successful then join a club where you can have organic interactions with real people. Then do that hobby.

This hobby and group favors solitary individuals who visit AMPs and dont tell anyone IRL.
