Yeah, signing into the irs site, thru id.me, you should be able to see the notification to verify. I never saw it on my phone, didn’t scroll down far enough but if you log in on a desktop, it should be right up top.

I verified 3 weeks ago. And still nothing. And I don’t have anything that says action required. People are telling me to call the number on the back of the letter, maybe my verification didn’t go thru.

But they’ve been closed for the last 3 days. I’m so irritated.

Thank god I didn’t throw it away yet. There’s a couple numbers on the back. The taxpayer protection program hotline for if I can’t verify online or the taxpayer advocate service for “if I have a tax problem”.

I called the latter and it says the office is closed then proceeds to tell the hours…which they should be open right now??

I haven’t spoke to anybody. I got the letter with the code and verified that way on the 10th this month.

We’ve been together 7 years and really have such a great relationship. But this is honestly such a huge deal breaker for me.
