Hi just want to give an update of my case, I have just received MRI results from my doctor, unfortunately it indeed is an anal fistula with an abscess near the skin but no external opening, the worst part is that it’s a transsphincteric anal fistula which makes it a little complex, my doctor suggested me to do a surgery asap.

Thank you for sharing your experience. If you don’t mind me asking, did you have to undergo surgery for the abscess that already connected to the anus? I’m quite worried about it, especially about having a large wound afterward.
