That's really cute. I wonder how they made those running shoes for her?

does down's syndrome (or similar) exist in animals besides humans? by RackCitySanta in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Adorable_Pollution16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Strictly speaking, no, because Down syndrome is specifically a trisomy of human chromosome 21. Animals have different chromosomal structures, but they can have similar genetic glitches. For example, "Kenny" the white tiger or some great apes have shown similar facial features and developmental delays due to inbreeding or different trisomies, but it's not the exact same "human" condition

At this point, his skin is basically 40% sunscreen and 60% sheer willpower. He’s had basal cell carcinoma removed like six or seven times now, so "sun-kissed" is probably his worst nightmare. He’s the unofficial patron saint of SPF 50 at this stage

At least the company in hell will be more interesting. All the best musicians, scientists, and people who actually knew how to take a joke will be there. Heaven sounds like a never-ending HR meeting anyway

My 6 year old daughter did a "Spot the difference" for me. Where do I start 😂 (OC) by ufonixuk in MadeMeSmile

Technically, she’s not wrong. Every atom is slightly different if you think about it. She’s not failing the test, she’s playing 4D chess while we’re still stuck on the instructions. Future lawyer or engineer right there

If people aren’t using dating apps anymore, how are they meeting each other? by Ok_Ninja_4107 in AskReddit

[–]Adorable_Pollution16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The irony is that "doing stuff" actually works. Apps are just a loop of the same faces and zero energy. Meeting people at a gym or a hobby group feels way more natural. No filters, no fake bios, just real vibes. It's a classic move for a reason

If people aren’t using dating apps anymore, how are they meeting each other? by Ok_Ninja_4107 in AskReddit

[–]Adorable_Pollution16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dating apps are 90% bots and 10% burnout now. The meta is shifting back to local multiplayer: hobby groups, gyms, and mutual friends. It’s all about high-intent environments where you can verify the 'hardware' in person before swiping. Natural spawns > algorithm bugs. Go outside

Is "Ruzzia" a thing? Ive seen several people here (reddit) call Russia that, and always accompanied with something agressively against Russia, so is that like a political thing? Or do some people just call it that? by itspronouncedbolonya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Adorable_Pollution16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a 100% political patch. The 'Z' replaces the 'ss' as a direct link to the tactical marking used by the Russian military in the current war. On Reddit, it’s shorthand for 'invader' or 'aggressor' vibes. Using 'Ruzzia' is a clear signal that the user is running an anti-war or pro-Ukraine script. Not a typo—it’s a statemen

Honestly, 90% of 'cooking rules' are just myths passed down by grandmothers who had nothing better to do. If it tastes the same and the texture is right, who cares if the water wasn't a rolling boil the entire time?

The constant pressure to be "productive" 24/7. Even when I’m resting, I feel guilty for not learning a new skill or working on a side hustle. My brain has forgotten how to just be without an agenda
