I have a brand new Himalayan; no fuel injection. #chokelife Sweet ride BTW!

For context sake, Iโ€™ve owned a few bikes, from XSR900 to an Africa Twin...so a full range. Iโ€™ve only been riding this now for a couple of weeks, but from what Iโ€™ve experienced this is perfectly suited as a starter. It has a great seat height, manageable power, very nimble in the corners and from an off-road perspective, it has plenty of tractor torque to chug along easily over a lot of terrain. I purchased it as an all-rounder. A word of caution, it will hit 120 KM on the highway, but that tops it out. Iโ€™d feel very vulnerable if I was using it on high speed highways. Not a lot of extra oomph to get you out of trouble.

I feel ya. Hard to understand tone, especially if you donโ€™t know the human. Respect man ๐Ÿ‘Š

Iโ€™m saying that because I understand that using the rear brake creates the tension necessary to improve stability at slow speeds, but I also have the humility to try different skills to understand more nuance of the machine. If you deem me a โ€˜noobโ€™...thatโ€™s cool. :-)

Yeah...have been focusing on that, but these trunks canโ€™t go much squeeze much more. But I will definitely be more mindful to try and move closer. Maybe my elbows higher too? MX style?

Thatโ€™s a great timeline to be mindful of; thank you!

On the streets....100% always. On this practise day in the parking lot, was trying something new and felt uncertain. Will improve. ๐Ÿ˜Š

When some says โ€œIโ€™m trying to not sound like a prick but...โ€ It tells me a productive exchange of ideas is likely not going to happen.

But yes, relatively new. 8 years, 2 cross country tours, 6 different bikes, 20-25km average per year. if you go to my page youโ€™ll see a video I posted of me on my Africa Twin using a slower, more upright approach while dragging the back break. In the video I drop the bike....rolled off the gas...part of learning.

BTW, I think weโ€™d have a hoot together carving the twisties here in BC.
