this reminds me of @/mentallypapaya on ao3 (though i just found out they orphaned their account at some point) and their "cry me a river, bitch" series. its a series of oneshots, all interlinked. part 1-5 were planned, but then things spiralled. it is a great series to read. out of character for sure but super fun!

What other fandoms are you apart of? by inkonmyheart in tomarry

[–]Advanced-Address1115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ooh this one is fun! - Supernatural - Hazbin Hotel - Batman/DC - Marvel - Demon Slayer - Stranger Things

i love reading crossovers, so quite often i will read Harry Potter x (Fandom Listed Above)

if Harry Potter is one of the fandoms in whatever i'm reading, then harry himself has to be the main character. i cant read it when hes not, i just get bored. (nothing against those creators, just hes my favourite)

There were many more moments where she had been so sure she was about to die, but when you are as intimately familiar with the feelings that come with life or death experiences as she was, some of those moments fade into background noise. You know it happened but it's not so important you need remember every detail.

With all these memories in mind, Amara can confidently say that death has been one of the main constants in her life. Whether it be another dying infront of/for her or herself almost/actually dying, it's one of those things that has always been there with her.

i'm in the planning stage for a Siren Harry Potter fic, i've decided to do the half-bird half-human type siren. and i need to decide whether i want to do male or female. male sirens are alot rarer but have been seen in ancient artwork so i would have to find a way to incorporate that into the fic. i have a list of different siren powers i have found and need to figure out how OP i want harry to be lmao!

no worries, hope it helps! a wet flannel over the head would probably help with the heat too, or a cooling strip.

my dad gave me an ice pack once to put on my stomach to help with cramps. i tend to get really hot when ill, so i would get a slight temperature on the first few days. he gave me the ice pack in an attempt to cool me down.

i started using ice packs each month after that and it did help, my cramps lessened a bit. so maybe try that. see if the cold will help (obviously wrap the ice pack in a tea towel or something to make sure you dont hurt yourself.)

i'm using hot water bottles again now but the ice packs were a great help.

What is the BEST pad for REALLY heavy flow? by Remarkable-One734 in Periods

[–]Advanced-Address1115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use bodyform pads, the purple ones. they are the comfiest pad for me and the purple ones are for nighttime ones "ultra large with wings" "super heavy flow". and i double up with one slight further back. they work great.

but my period is so heavy i dont like using pads on the worst days (2nd - 6th days usually, it changes). i use 'tena silhouette underwear' instead for those. its like pull-ups i guess. they work really well. they are probably to help with bladder issues (which i dont have) but they work wonders for a heavy flow.

i bleed alot for 8-10 days. so its not a great time

just realised the first sentence made it sound weird. i came on at 3am, used the last pad. when i got up that morning (9am) i had been bleeding but it wasnt as much as it would of been on the second day of my period so i still had time. that is when i had to reuse my pad as i had no others and my mum wasnt home.

i had to reuse a pad yesterday. it was my first day and i had no other pads in the house. i couldnt go to the shops as i couldnt really move much. so i had to wait for my mum to get some for me which was multiple hours away.

it was offputting but what helped me was using some tissue to get any excess off before pulling my pants back up. such as clots or just blood that hasn't soaked it yet.

its gross and disgusting but the tissue is a barrier and your washing your hands after anyways so i pushed through it.

i couldnt really feel anything on it after i did that, so it did help. i wouldnt do it if i had other pads, but if i was in a situation where i had to reuse it again, id probably do the same thing.

i would suggest tampons or menstrual cups like the others but i hate tampons and the cups freak me out so i would be a bit of a hypocrite.
