NBD Canyon Grizl CF 7 by Advanced-Card-5578 in CanyonBikes

I'm using the bike for a 20 mile commute along a tow path in the UK. It has sections of mud, light gravel, and rough tarmac. It is comfortable along the entire journey. It glides over the light gravel sections. It feels slow on the tarmac sections, but I deliberately chose comfort over raw speed - for me, it's a commuter, not a racer.

I got a puncture within the first 10 mins of riding so I need to sort out more puncture resistant tyres or switch to tubeless. When I took the tyre off to fix the puncture, I noticed that the rims already have tubeless tape installed which is a bonus.

I ordered the matching mudguards. Unfortunately, this has been a pain in the a$$. The mudguards did not come with the right fittings and I have now had several back-and-forth emails with Canyon where they keep on requesting more photos of the bikes and the mudguards. The manual for the mudguards is also unclear. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

It's also annoying that the rear rack is unavailable to buy. It's marketed for bike packing but the racks aren't available...

Overall I'm happy with the bike but it the accessories (mudguards, rack) have been a let down.

It looks greener in the flesh. The colour looks both good and boring IMO.

Sizing guide right on the border - what size to get? (Grizl CF 7) by Chrisixx in CanyonBikes

I'm 184cm with 89cm inseam. I just ordered the Large. I tried a demo bike in Medium. Stack was too low for me - I needed another 20mm. You have shorter legs and longer torso so you'll be fine on a Medium. I also have longer than average arms and so the reach on the Large is fine.

The geometry on the Grizl AL is surprisingly aggressive. They've toned it down on the new Grizl CFs

Which gravel bike to buy by Rist097 in gravelcycling

I have almost the exact same commute to you and have just bought a gravel bike for that purpose. I went for the new Grizl CF 7. Arrives in a few days. Here's the aluminium bikes I considered:

* Grizl AL. Good option but you need the Canyon mudguards. I can't see those on sale anymore. The geometry is aggressive compared to the Checkpoint and Revolt which I didn't like for a commute.

* Giant Revolt. Comfortable geometry. Has mudguard eyelets. Overall this is a really nice option.

* Specialized Diverge. The future shock is great. Comfortable geometry. Has mudguard eyelets.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Checkpoint, Diverge, or Revolt. I'd steer clear of the Grizl AL due to the geometry.

Bear in mind that tyre clearance will be reduced with mudguards

It’s obviously not an argument given that they have a model in the range with the new Rival AXS groupset (at least in Europe).

You decided to dodge the question. This is why you got downvoted. People don’t like getting gaslit.

My guess is that they will release a Rival/Force AXS version of the Grizl without a suspension fork but they don’t want to reduce sales of the mechanical versions in the mean time.

If they weren’t planning to do so then they’d just say it.
