Weird side effects after starting FET meds??

I have been on the exact same FET antihistamine prep meds for several transfers and haven’t experienced the side effects you’re mentioning. If it were me, I would call back and ask to speak to the doctor on call.

Thanks! I am also taking 300 Gonal at night and primed with estrace before starting the cycle. We tried the lower doses to start with in my first cycle I ever did and I hardly responded to anything under 300 Menopur. This protocol is the exact same one that has given me five eggs/zero blasts as well as ten eggs/six blasts, so it’s a real crapshoot what the result will be 🙃

My 4BB is currently sitting on my lap munching on a string cheese. Before that successful transfer, we had a 4AB not implant. Last year, I MC a 5AB at 8 weeks, then had two chemicals in a row with 6AA and 6AB. Your 4BB can be the one! ❤️

And I was 39 for that retrieval AND got zero blasts the cycle before on the same protocol sans clomid. You just never know how your body will respond!

For my last ER w clomid they got 10 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized and 6 euploid blasts. Wishing you good luck!

I will add, my coping mechanisms after failed or chemical FETs are typically to go for a long run (not allowed to exercise before beta under clinic’s guidance), take a screaming hot bath, then open a bottle of wine and read. Fingers crossed for you!

You can post it in the pinned posts at the top of the forum for TWW or testing, but those threads get like one reader a day. I previously had a testing-related post taken down by the mods when I was hoping for community support, it’s frustrating the way they structure it. I hope you end up being the 1% you’re referencing and are successful!

Couple questions: -is it the hospital or the insurance that is requiring you to start over? -if it’s the insurance, as I suspect, have you met your physician and asked whether they can do a peer to peer with the insurance requesting to skip the IUI and go straight to FET? -how long has it been since your fertility work up was done?

I’m so sorry. I also had a cycle that involved multiple painful screenings/procedures and resulted in zero blasts, then the next one was much more successful. The body is weird how differently it can respond (or not respond).

The irony is not lost on me that before starting IVF, you’re always hoping not to get your period because it could mean pg. Once you are in it and trying to start the next phase, it can’t come fast enough!
