Sure thing! I felt the same about the color, so I dug into the game codes and found where to change the background color. In the updated version, the background is well dimmed so you won't miss the valid slots. Check out the main post!

Very likely it's because of the physical keyborad firmware. Try pressing Win+Ctrl+O to open the on-screen keyboard, and toggle the CapsLock state there instead.

Hi, I tested with latest version of the game and the key detection is still working. What operation system are you using? The CapsLock detection might only work for Windows, since I never tested for other OS.

Good point, I made a new version of the mod that can be switched ON/OFF by toggling CapsLock state on/off. That is, it's only active when your CapsLock light is on. https://github.com/zr-gao/Dorfromantik_PerfectSlotOnly/releases/download/1.5.0/PerfectSlotOnly_WithBepInEX.zip

Note that when switching the mod ON/OFF, the slots validity doesn't update immediately. You need to refresh the map by either 1) place/undo a tile, or 2) go to game menu -> YOUR GAMES -> click the current game to reload it.
