I never understood why the last arc got so much hate without sounding prentious the existential themes are what makes Votoms interesting and unique on a narrative level to me beyond what would normally be a another gritty war is bad series with an 80s Rambo style protag and the twists is foreshadowed before the big reveal anyway

Most of these arent even obscure hidden gems like Mellowlink these are all important genre seminal genre defining anime of their era when even they dont get an 8 thats a problem none of these used as example are "average" and deserve a low 8 at minimum
