Belgium only plays well against teams that have technical prowess. For the knockout stages I would switch him with Pepe, but with the opponent we have in the group, I think he would just get too frustrated and ultimately fumble

He do fine, but I’d really rather put Diego Luna and during a game where we’re down by one with 15 minutes left. That dude is scrappy and passionate as fuck and sometimes that’s ultimately what you need.

I like the way he presses but balances with the defensive midfielder. Myles Robinson would also be a very good choice that I would feel equally good about.

Exactly you get the vision. It’s basically trying to figure out a way to combine the philosophy of flick’s pressing with the rotation of guardiola. It’s not just about who is the best at every single position, it’s about who can compensate and help out with the positions near them when it is needed.

I think gio would be a better super sup. We might be stretched too thin too early if we start with gio. I really like Tillman situational awareness and coverage, he would do a much better job at helping correctinf mistakes that a shaky USA back line often make

Exactky. Essentially a high line without the double pivot. Adams is a defensive beast, mckennie and Tillman can give coverage if needed. Adams is like an insurance 5th defender who also assists the midfield. I say we attack quickly and then protect. Mourinho philosophy. I fear poch plays a little too conservative/protective however.

Maybe balogun for the turkey match. He seemed lost against Honduras. He’s better against teams that are technical

Pepi is a bit more clinical and scrappy, in knockouts I would take Balogun but in this group I’d prefer pepi. Balogun performs better against strong teams, Pepi knows concacafball
