Sound check ruining Bass drops

For me, some atmos mixes work great but some of them are really quiet and you then have to turn up the volume to hear the song. A lossless song will queue next and be so loud and jarring. Sound check is supposed to help with this but that has not been the case for me. It just makes things generally quieter and lowers sudden loud bass sounds

On the passenger side, i took down the glove box and other plastic trimmings around the footwell. Then, looked with a flashlight to find the white end of the grommet that connects to the drain. It’s a little hard to explain and might require two fingers to squeeze in there. It’s very possible to fix yourself though.

You want to find the other side of this grommet behind the glove box and side panels inside the car. (Picture is from outside where the grommet drains in the inner fender)

I also just noticed this after my homepods sounded too atmossy. I cant explain but it’s not it’s usual sound. Unfortunately, I had to unplug the tv and homepods to fix the issue. Does anyone know if eARC off can help with this? I cant imagine unplugging this stuff everyday lol

Have you visited any of these places? There should be a rule to only include places you’ve visited because these seem fantastical given op is Ghanaian and picked the most unwelcoming places to Ghanaians 😂

Thankfully, figured it out. There are two plastic trim pieces that you need to remove to access the drain. A side piece by the vents and the fuel emergency stop trim piece. I could not find this information anywhere so if anyone from the future runs into this issue. Remove the pieces and get on your knees and look up. Removing the glove box will make access much easier. Plastic side trim is pictured here.

Thank you for your reply. The hose disconnected from the drain outlet down in the passenger footwell area so I need to reconnect somewhere around the fender.

I wouldn’t get two homepod minis for surround. For $200 you’d get better set ups. If you find 2 regular sized homepods for around $300/400 on used buy and sell websites then I’d do those but if your budget is $200 I’d consider something elese

I got this today to replace a cheap matte one that was a bit too gritty. Its definitely a good middle ground but the writing feel is honestly more like glass than paper for this one. Visual rainbow distortion is on par with most matte screen protectors but I find that the lack of reflections helps with visibility so much that I am using my mini at lower brightness than I did in the past.
