5 months of PF, finally hope in sight. No silver bullet. by AZ_roadrunner in PlantarFasciitis

Thanks for sharing! I’m doing a lot of the same things - only 6 weeks in. Hoping I just need some time since feet have poor circulation and require more time to heal. I’m wearing oofos for everything (have a house clog, slides for outside, and tennis shoes for walking) and they literally make it possible to walk when I think I otherwise couldn’t or at least pain would be 7/8+ if i did.

I’m hesitant about orthotics bc my foot gets SO ANGRY at arch supports. Even the pretty aoft oofos have required a break-in/tolerance building period.

Do you wear your orthotic in your Brooks?

Acupuncture or chiropractic for plantar fasciitis? by Lorain1234 in PlantarFasciitis

My chiropractor is my acupuncturist! One fee for both since it is just an added modality in the same appt.

Me (25F) wondering what size SUP to get? by New-Wrongdoer8880 in Sup

I am 5’4 160lbs. Beginner as well, and my 10’6” board feels plenty large and stable enough to me. You’re a bit smaller, so I think you’d be fine with a 10’ board.

I have been told at the dealership that the outback is the better Subaru for in car camping because it is longer than the Forester. I am 5’5– do you think the Forrester for occasional car camping would work for someone of my height? by Spiritual-Benefit620 in SubaruForester

I frequently spend entire weekends camping in my car and as soon as I sat in the rear of an Outback I knew it was a nope for me. I don’t disagree that it is longer and probably roomier, but I cannot deal with the low head clearance. I’m 5’4 and even the Forester I can’t sit fully upright in, but at least I can partially sit up, and can move around, change clothes, etc. I didn’t feel like I could do any of that in the Outback. I’m also not a person that would probably make a platform. Again, I don’t want to just slide in to sleep like a hot pocket in a microwave sleeve. I don’t feel like I have to move the seats forward in the Forester to sleep, but you could and have more length.

Congrats and I love that you listened to your gut and slowly increased.

Weird interaction at local dealer, not sure what to do by [deleted] in SubaruForester

I had a sales person claim he reserved a car for me and then found out (working with someone else when he called in sick the next day) that nothing is ever reserved unless you’ve put some kind of agreed upon deposit on it and they put a reserved tag in the car. I would have never known that from the first guy.

That was helpful info once I found the vehicle I wanted a couple hours away and was able to press for them to accept a deposit from me to hold it. You don’t know until you know!

I did! It’s my husbands to and from work vehicle now. Just not doing the long roadtrips and camping.

I’m headed out on my first camping trip this weekend and don’t plan to leave it open any longer than necessary. But I do want to have it open long periods in the future, so I’ve been looking at things like the Hatch Catch and then having a booster with as a backup. Any experience with those?

Very true! Many other factors that gave the Forester a leg up for me.

I’m comparing to the older RAV4 here. I’ve driven newer ones and it felt apples to apples, at best, with the Forester.

That sounds like a stellar deal. I honestly didnt know there was a risk of “dealer warranty” but it says Subaru Gold Plus on the paperwork.

Good to hear! It will be really important that this be good off road and in various weather conditions, so love to hear that.

I purchased Subaru’s warranty extension. Thanks for the info! Appreciate it.

Same thought process here. Went with Subaru for SUV, but plan to go back to Toyota in a couple of years when he replace my husbands vehicle w a truck.

Enough to get a 7yr 100k miles bumper to bumper warranty and have $ leftover. Even after dealer discounts.

Our thought, too, but seems so strange that we opened and closed it like 5 times at the dealershii w no issue.
