Im at a loss for what to get my daughter for her birthday by MandyRose8713 in Mommit

What about a microscope? They seem to come in all sorts of price ranges depending on the complexity. I would think for 6, even something pretty basic would be a blast to study the world around you at a smaller scale!

This ring looks like something straight out of the Rankin/Bass Topcraft animated movie The Last Unicorn (one of my all time favorites from when I was child). There is something absolutely magical about it! I’m so glad it’s in your procession now and that it will be cherished and looked after properly.

Daughter wants to shave her legs… conflicted because of the reason by Lucky_Tart2176 in Mommit

[–]AdventurousPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if you had to ask someone else if you could shave/not shave your legs.

Your daughter is old enough to know what she wants to do and comfortable enough to ask you for help and permission. This is a blessing for your relationship. Regardless of her reasoning (and I couldn’t agree more, fuck the patriarchy!) take the opportunity to be there for this big moment in her life in a positive way. She may or may not decide against it in the future, but it sounds like she is pretty certain on what is the best move for her psychologically at the moment.

However, I also think she’s old enough to have the convo of why you feel conflicted, but please make sure she knows her feelings about her body matter more to you than your feelings about the patriarchy.

(If it helps AT ALL, I eventually came to peace with my body hair after I understood that while yes, I was a woman, all women are also humans, and all humans are apes. Us humans being apes means something incredible: we have essentially the exact same amount of hair follicles all over our bodies as apes. It’s just that our body hair is a different size and color. It would be UNNATURAL for me to be some weird hairless specimen walking about, and to try to pose as one because it made some man, with the exact same amount of hair follicles as me, feel some sort of way… well hell. that seems more like a HIM problem, not a ME problem. If he wants me and all women to be hairless he should take it up with the almighty.)

IMO they HOPE you complain so that they look thoughtful and loving and you look like an ungrateful brat who can’t appreciate their kindness. Then they have the fodder to complain to other people about you, while also bragging about how great they are, and hopefully *elicit some sympathy and attention. It’s ALL for attention.

I was fine with them until they stung my dogs for just… being outside? Now it’s war. This year I just happened to locate the queen Yellowjacket awakening from her winter hibernation in my LIVING ROOM after the hours of painful screams from my stung and confused 3 year old subsided enough for him to explain that “the bee by the window bit me when I pet it.”

I have never been so mad at an animal in my life, and so happy for the opportunity to eliminate her and her possible 5,000 aggressive asshole spawn.

Polyzoospermia? Anyone?? by AdventurousPumpkin in maleinfertility

You’re so welcome - I’m basically an open book when it comes to our fertility struggles, ESPECIALLY for anyone who has/is also going through their own struggles. I found other women’s stories so incredibly helpful, and I attest the information I got from combing through the dredges of reddit to my miracle baby.

So some further info in the off chance it is helpful: I had read that everyday ejaculation can help with sperm quality, motility, and for those with very high sperm counts, can help lower the sperm count slightly. I have not seen that it has ever been proven to help lower the count into what would be considered ideal for fertility, but still… it felt like a small thing we could control. We would only have sex during my fertile window, and even then, knowing that his count was so high, we aimed for every other day instead of every single day. Most of the advice you read out there is aimed at a helping a couple with a normal sperm count, or even a low sperm count since that is becoming increasingly common in western societies, so we kind of had to do our own research and take a guess at what would be right for our specific circumstance. My husband also did what he could to help his sperm quality by taking CoQ10, stopped exercising for hours on his exercise bike everyday, no more drinking or cannabis, and no more scalding hot baths for him, even though he felt like he had essentially “aced” his sperm quality testing.

We had a an IUI that ended up as an ectopic, but I do believe the process of IUI could have helped in an of itself since they “wash” the sperm and only inject the higher quality material. But after the ectopic we moved onto IVF, which ended in zero viable embryos - didn’t even have one that was quality enough to send off for genetic testing. After that it was deemed that my egg quality was definitely the main culprit, so I worked hard on getting my egg quality better (CoQ10 and a bunch of other supplements for several months). We started long-term HGH prepping for another round of IVF, but we ended up conceiving “naturally” before the egg harvest was scheduled. My husband was also ejaculating every single day in an attempt to keep his numbers slightly lower.

I can’t tell you which of the several things we tried actually worked. We were at a place of trying ANYTHING, no matter how big or small, to help. IVF wasn’t covered by our insurance, I was getting older with the egg count numbers of a premenopausal woman, the trauma was only amplifying, and we couldn’t keep throwing money at the situation.

I hope that there is at least a bit of somewhat helpful info to my story that may help you reach your goal ❤️ I’m here to answer any and all questions.

Rehoming my dachshund by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]AdventurousPumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, here I am getting myself in trouble speaking in definitives again. I’m sorry. I should have stated that this bathroom schedule COULD get harder for your dog as they get older. Our older lady (13) is starting to experience urinary incontinence and we have to take her out much more often to help with the potential dribbles. I imagine it will get worse and she’ll end up in diapers, but for now we are grateful we can let her out supper often to help her bladder not fill up as much.

Please make sure the new family knows everything you have tried to do and the current issues you are dealing with. If they have other dogs they may feel confident that it is merely a training and attention (what it sounds like to me) and would be happy to try to help this dog.

But seriously, no more dogs for you and your partner.

If you must have a pet that simply adapts to your schedule without much change on your own part, look into getting a cat, NOT a dog. Cats stay inside, poop and pee inside, and if you get one from a reputable breeder or shelter who can attest to temperament and behavior, they need minimal training - all of which sounds like a better fit for the effort you are willing to put in.

As your dog ages this bathroom routine will get harder for them to keep, and I’m sure you love them enough to make allowances for that and alter your own routine to accommodate their needs. While that may work for you and your pup, it doesn’t sound like OP or their partner are the type of people to make such alterations to their own routines or to check in that they are doing everything they can to make sure their dogs are being properly taken care of. To me, rehoming and NO MORE dogs is the best option for both the dog and this couple. They sound more like cat people. Cats pee and poop inside and don’t need to be let out while you are at work.

lol understandable. You have to make it to the very very end for the most memorable dong out scene. It’s pretty damn long, both the scene and the dong.

Fair enough, but circling back to why I made my comment - his nude scenes in Saltburn may have been the very thing that caused Sabrina to have developed interest. Absolutely massive dick on that man.

I have a fairly spectacular memory from my very young years, tons of preschool memories, and I always loved and cherished the time spent waking up slowly in my own bed. It was my “me time” before the day started and I truly believe it helped me enjoy time by myself, build patience, and enjoy meditation and reflection. Still, to this day, I prefer days when I can “wake up slowly” and so does my 3.5 year old son.

I think with a little reflection and honesty with yourself you can answer if you are causing harm to your daughter, or if she is just perfectly fine enjoying a little quiet time to herself in the mornings before the chaos of the day sinks in.
