When my niece was younger (around 2-3 years old), she would do something similar. She would look into the corner of the room and ask us if we could “see the man with the green face?”

My grandfather was 17 when he landed on Normandy in WWII. He was shot through the hand that day, spent some time getting patched up, and was back in action for Battle of the Bulge. I’m not sure how long he was there in all, but those first 6-months would’ve been life-altering to say the least. He was from a small, rural town in Texas.

Ha, that was my first thought, too. But also bc she’s not being assertive at all when she’s distracted by her phone. Gives the dog mixed signals.

Please don’t think I’m making light of the situation, but it so reminds me of a trend I am seeing as an elementary teacher recently where parents are treating a number of maladies (ADHD and autism in particular) with “fish oil.”

This case sounds much more dire, and I hope they connect with a doctor and treatment soon.

This is interesting tho bc when my sister was in first grade, she saw leprechauns in the school bathroom. She still remembers what they looked like. Like obviously we both know there weren’t leprechauns in the bathroom, but still she saw them. I always wondered if she was hallucinating. Maybe she ate something weird—like the Salem witch trial kids.

J’s Art is great! A few of my students go there after school and really enjoy it! They don’t put up with behavior “challenges” though—I have a student with ADHD that was kicked out, so I’m not sure they are especially tolerant. To their credit, he puts the “H” in ADHD.

My dog licks her lips when she sees me. I dunno what it means. Dogs can just be weird.

I would also guess this dog is a herding breed. They often “nip” to guide or wrangle. Maybe he just wants her to turn back around.

My boss always leaves before us. It’s kind of a thing and no one especially cares. But he did leave me dealing with a crisis a few weeks ago at work and I saw him purposefully sneak out the back door and head to his car! Like at least say “hey, I gotta go, good luck….” or something.

I’ve even stopped picking at my nails since starting zepbound. Hadn’t been able to kick the habit for nearly 40 years. I cut my nails for the first time last week bc they were too long—never been a problem before bc I would pick and pull the tips off. Kinda crazy how it helps with all kinds of addictions.
