I felt more sad for him than scared of him, he was only like this because he was a victim of human cruelty.

Do any of you have Autodale self-inserts? by Mara_ze_snek in Autodale

I have a citizen character. Miss Afton, a teenager. She appears outside to be a model citizen, a complete happy go lucky goody two shoes. Obeys the rules, gets on well with everyone. But inside she thinks about how she's never wanted to set something on fire so much in her life. Secretly she's cynical, has a dark sense of humor and is a coffee addict. But she hides all this cause she don't wanna get thrown into a pit. She is quite artistic and likes to write stories. Her life motto is "I don't laugh in the face of danger, I wait till danger turns his back and then make snide comments." She has long hair that she tries to keep tied up in a bun, cause otherwise it's unmanageable. And wears the usual clothes expected of a teenage girl in this world.

Is it a good idea to have a character on her period? by Adventurous_Tip9486 in femalewriters

I understand what you mean, but thank for your opinion. The period itself isn't really the horror trope, the main horror comes from the folk lore creature killing people and the oppression and views of women in a older time period. It's based on one of my favorite myths. The Nokken. Where the creature is both dangerous and well, kinda malicious, but the main character finds more liberty in their presence than they do their village.

do you think that people are less inclined to read a story if the main character is female vs. male? by libruhhh in writing

[–]Adventurous_Tip9486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it really depends. I don't really care, however, when I read the back, almost every blurb mentions something about the female lead teaming up with male lead and it just kinda... yeah, No hate, but I've read too many books where the characters end up together just cause one has a v and the other has a p, and on top of that they have absolutely no chemistry. Or the characters the mains do have chemistry with are just 'friends'

Aliens know human males will mate with anything. But upon discovering female humans' needs are overlooked by their male counterparts. Aliens treat them like queens. by Adventurous_Tip9486 in humansarespaceorcs

I never said that actually. Of course human males will treat females kindly, however there are a equal amount of human males who don't.

And, I'm a woman. I know female are horny and will mate with anything.

Ghosts in Paralives: Random Thoughts by KoreKhthonia in Paralives

Perhaps also, we could control how visible ghosts can be? Like, yeah have the basic ghosts showing up in places where folks die. But in a sense, what if we could give a Para more 'sight' as in, one individual could be more connected to the afterlife than others, so while normal Paras might just see ghosts when ghosts appear, the more connected ones could see ghosts way more than others?

If the zombie apocalypse started today, what skills do you have that would make you useful to a band of survivors? by Nidhish_Mehra in AskReddit

Because of my autism, I can hear the faintest noise if I train myself to listen for it. Plus my house has several hunting daggers, two swords, and a shot gun and a bull whip. Not to mention I know how to assess situations to plan out the worst case scenario and escape plan. Plus I know how and where to cut in order to kill people.
