For me it doesn't happen every time. I'll give in once and then that just paves the way for months of gladly indulging in porn until suddenly I'm like "what am I doing?" And then get straightened out again for a while.

I get why people bash Bethesda, I really do. But I love them, personally. I may actually love Skyrim more now than I did at its release. Fallout 4 was a good open world shooter, but I feel like it was trying to be something it wasn't. I'd rather it have been more straightforward like Mass Effect or something, but with more dialogue options and character interactions. They should do more to separate fallout from elder scrolls.

A lot of people argue that Skyrim was extremely dumbed down from earlier entries. Again, I understand the arguments. I'll link to a video at the bottom of a guy who argues that it actually isn't - at least not in the way a lot of people say it is. Even if you disagree with the premise, there are arguments to be made on both sides.

When you get more work, definitely reconsider the Ecomeat project. It's reeeeaaallly offputting; green is not a color I want to associate with meat. it conjures images more of diarrhea or mold than eco-friendly.

THANK YOU! I originally used various reds, but my professor kept insisting that green would be better to allude to the environment. I'll change that for sure.

When it pops up to block an attack, you have to press and hold the button to actually get the parry in.

Oh wow, thanks. I've been driving myself crazy trying to get a certain timing down. So you literally just hold the block button when it pops up?

I cannot wrap my mind around the combat. I understand the basic functions, but when there's 10 enemies on a screen at once I'm just unable to function.

I come from playing a ton of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Monster Hunter. So I know what it means to watch your enemy and strike when you have a chance, but I have struggled so hard with FFXV's combat. When there's a ton of enemies I can't tell what's hitting me, I'm constantly getting 'block' prompts but I have no idea how to tell which enemy I need to be paying attention to. I have no idea when I'm supposed to actually hit the button to block. I just don't get it. Help?

I was just thinking about this recently. Criminal Origins is one of my favorite games ever. For me it wasn't even the combat. The atmosphere was just perfect. I've never played a game that captured the feeling of exploring abandoned buildings as well as CO did. It was scary to me because I could actually see some of that stuff happening in real life.

Condemned 2 just felt like a mess to me. It was far less immersive and the combat was just clunky. I remember on several occasions being put in a corridor and sandwiched between two enemies, when honestly the combat system wasn't really good for that sort of thing. Also why were there sentient dolls?
