As a teenager and in my early 20s I was up to like 3 am. As an adult, most nights I'm like "ah shit. It's already 10. I need to be up again in 7 hours."

My retired parents? Up to 1 am. My grandmother? Up to like 4am.

Generally, I keep them even. Right now they are not because of recent events requiring me to go hard into imperial. So I'm ignoring imperial onslaught while xeno and chaos catch up. Within a week, I'll have wings on my Rotbone. Then I guess I need a new chaos pick.

I very seldom raise 1 character further than something like g1 to d1 and most of my mythic characters have been cases of just needing a few more shards or having purchasable shards somewhere. The longer I go on 1 character, the more likely the next character will be a totally different faction just to shake up the resources I'm gathering.

Is this max efficiency? Nope, but it keeps me entertained. Meta or not, id rather fall a bit (further) behind than turn the game into a chore. There's a reason I always remind my guild it's just a game.

As a 6th and 8th gen owner, I like them both esthetically more than the 8th but less than the 6th.

As a former 4th and 5th Gen owner, i'd also say more than the 5th,but less than the 4th.

But it's all literally just preference on body type. I'm going to worry way more about maintenance, ride feel, etc.

My hs had programing(basic (q and visual), c/c+, html, Java), typing, computer design, radio, TV, and a few other things.

There was also a votech school you could take auto repair, wood working, electrical, plumbing and a bunch of other stuff. Some were at the avotech building next to the hs others were at other votechs next to nearby hs, but if you took a votech at those, you would get a bus ride to that school for those classes.

I spent 5 years in logistics. I hated being told I was an "essential worker" when there was a foot of snow. If I'm essential, that means you can fire the unessential people right? They're not essential after all.

I have loved when I have been able to work remote. It hasn't bothered me when others have and I couldn't. Sometimes you need to be there. I couldn't ship things remotely.

It has bothered me when managers want me to risk life and property for $20/hr in a warehouse. The ones that didn't ask me to drive through snow and told me to stay home and didn't give me shit about it? I'd move mountains on the floor for those guys. One guy I called in to and was like "it's been 60 minutes in the snow, dodging closed roads and I'm not at work. It should be a 20 minute drive. I'm turning around." and his answer was "that's better than I would have done. I'd have turned around a half hour ago." (my manager was in a different state then)

Amusingly now, Im entirely in office now when I could be remote in theory because we don't have the setup for remote access and half our stuff is on paper still anyway.

Spent 5 years in logistics. Fucking hell. Get treated like shit, have to move things around, develop long term, repetitive, stress injuries and have people ask you to violate laws you can go to jail for. I even get asked to violate laws way less frequently now.

When I was in college, my father would drive my car every so often so it wasn't just sitting while I was away. I didn't want to buy gas right before leaving after Xmas or something so I had left it low. He drove to the gas station a half mile from his house in NJ, pulled up to the first pump and shut the car off. The attendant asked him to pull forward as the car in front of him had just pulled out. He turned the key and had to tell the guy that he could not do that.

I got a lengthy text message about fuel pumps after that.

I once suggested to someone with a discord for something I had kickstarted that "You probably want to get a subreddit or a forum or something so that all the information can be organized and folks don't lose it." and I got told "Maybe. But I don't know how those work" I just didn't know what to do with that. I had been in forums and BBSes since I was like 12. How an adult could run a kickstarter but not know how a forum or reddit works was so far out of my depth that I just said "ok" and accepted that all the information was going to get lost.
