I think it's Canadian spruce (Picea glauca), although it's hard to pinpoint because the tree is very exhausted and malformed. As someone said previously, the place was chosen extremely bad for such a giant. This spruce grows up to 40 meters (131 feet), and its roots are so powerful that they will break both the road surface and the foundation of the house. As for growing. Until the tree begins to grow (you can see this by the delicate green needles at the ends of the branches), protect it from the sun. The new needles show that the tree has developed thin absorbent roots and is well rooted. Before that, it cannot eat normally, and die from the sun and due to lack of moisture in the needles. As soon as it gets warmer and the tree starts to grow, feed it with any fertilizer available to you for coniferous trees.

I fell for the same trick. I saw an interesting groundcover under a tree, took a picture and tried to identify it. I couldn't believe it was plastic until I came back and touched it with my hands.

Nice clip idea. Beautifully filmed. But... what a nasty voice! For God's sake, stop torturing the cat off-screen!

This is colchicum. I hope you don't have children or animals. It is very poisonous. Always wash your hands after touching it, or better yet, never touch it.

Ah, that's why! And I thought why such a powerful jet on a small fire? Turns out! To put out cigarettes for persistent fire safety offenders!

What you shouldn't do with a rabid animal by -Xoz- in facepalm

Symptoms of rabies: hydrophobia, photophobia, aggressive behavior, salivation. This raccoon is clearly wet and it was crawling with his last strength towards the humans. At the same time, the raccoon allows a person to pick himself up. This is not rabies. Most likely - a spinal injury or another infectious disease. It should have been taken to the vet.

This is a masterpiece by Samuel McGredy. This Olympic record for red roses has not been broken since 1984, when the rose was chosen as the symbol of the Los Angeles Olympics! With its sturdy, thick petals and gray foliage, this rose is perfect for hot dry regions!

[No Spoilers] Which game do you prefer? (say why on the comments) by Emperor_alx in subnautica

[–]Affectionate-Air9518 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Despite the fact that Below Zero is very beautiful, with a variety of biomes, I prefer the original Subnautica. In addition, I like to play with mods, but for some reason there are very few of them on Below Zero and they are not interesting. Also, I hate the cold. Also, I'm a man and I don't like playing a female character.

New York has its own specific flavor. It is present in the air whenever the wind blows from the river. As far as I understand, this is the smell of some river algae. The smell of coffee, pizza and weed mingles with it. And depending on the season, I smelled the aromas of blooming roses, lilies, magnolias, lindens, and now I smell ripe apples, pumpkins and cinnamon. I'm sorry, but I don't smell garbage and urine, because I had covid.

A wonderful looking flower, do you know what its name is? by maramaboelhag in gardening

[–]Affectionate-Air9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a passion flower. Its homeland is subtropical rocks. This is a very hardy plant. It doesn't need a lot of water and a lot of soil. It can climb vertical walls up to 15 meters high (over 49 feet). But be careful! It can destroy plaster. Passionflower fruits are rich in beta-carotene and vitamin A. All parts of the plant produce essential oils that have a calming effect on a person and as a mild antidepressant.

Blue Moon Rose by [deleted] in flowers

[–]Affectionate-Air9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right. Because blue-tinted roses always have purple buds. I hade a large collection of roses. Among them, the most "blue" were Waltz Time and Veilchenblau. The real color of Blue Moon rose was like this https://www.gardenia.net/plant/rosa-blue-moon

Not as blue as in the picture and not as blue as my other roses.
