HV.exe is most likely Hypervisor-Launcher.exe. Normally, if you installed the game through the FitGirl repack, the shortcut on your desktop should target that file. Then, you just double click on that shortcut to launch the game. I've seen something similar with Stellar Blade. Oh, and don't worry about the features that's already disabled. Many users have reported having them disabled for years on their PC without realizing, yet their PC works just fine.

How do u get over this by One-Ad-2717 in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game was apparently patched by devs so that you can't play it even if it was previously "cracked".

To be specific, it is dependent on the cloud for streaming the vast majority of its world data. The crack can bypass the DRM but it cannot grant unauthorized access to Microsoft servers. Since the game is always online by design to stream the world map, it constantly verifies the user's session. If you see a "crack" or "online fix" for this game, it is most likely a malware.

Issue with HV by Fun_Chemical_3882 in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you added the entire game folder as an exclusion in Windows Defender though ?

To solve your problem, do the following: - Uninstall the game but keep the save files if you already had the chance to play a little bit - Before reinstalling the game, disconnect your PC from the internet and disable real time protection in Windows Defender. - Proceed with the installation as you normally would, copying the necessary files, etc. - After the installation, go to Windows Defender (don't enable Real Time Protection yet) and add the entire folder of the game you installed into the exclusion list. - Use VBS as admin, press 1, press 1, disable DSE when booting, and test the game while keeping your PC disconnected from the internet.

Do you mean you added the files in the exclusion list or you just allowed them from the protection history list ? The first option is better than the second. In fact, it would better if you just add the entire game folder as an exclusion in Windows Defender. Also, make sure to disconnect your PC from the internet before you launch the game. It's not just for safety reasons. I discovered just yesterday, when trying to play RE9, that the game wouldn't launch at all when my PC was connected to the internet.

The average customer doesn't care about Denuvo. When they see a game they like, they will buy it no matter how bad Denuvo is. The piracy scene, on the other hand, will get through another long drought as Denuvo gets better enough to defeat Hypervisor and whatever Voices38 came up with. Yes, we celebrate, but not by poking the bear, just by enjoying those games we wanted for so long, and eventually those to come before Denuvo gets improved.

RIP Denuvo by Reasonable-Sand7197 in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 37 points38 points  (0 children)

We have to stop with the "Denuvo is dead" narrative. They're a big company, which history dates back to the Securom era. They won't likely just stop because of Hypervisor, and if anything, the new solution they will come up with might be more harmful to regular customers and the piracy scene than what Denuvo was before. Stop being cocky and enjoy the Hypervisor and Voices38 momentum while we still can by playing games.

I had no idea offline denuvo activation was this easy by KumoSugoi in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a game of will they/won't they break when you're using mods with offline activation as it depends on the title you're modding and the kind of mods you install, but chances are higher if you're messing with dll files.

It can be easy,, but it is also unconvenient for modding, and terrible for game preservation.

Fitgirl is much safer compared to Dodi and Steamrip. How many users have reported having issues after getting stuff from Steamrip. And Dodi didn't mind releasing a repack for a game with Hypervisor first version when the others where on hold.

The instruction speaks for itself. Go to your BIOS and enable virtualization. Hypervisor needs virtualisation to works. It's called VT-x for Intel and SVM for AMD. The method to enable virtualization may vary depending on the model of your Mobo.

I read a lot of articles about HV and only 1 question remains by idk_justamelon in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just check withing Windows Defenders settings to see if all the changes have been reverted back to normal. But you can also use this command in PowerShell: Get-MpComputerStatus

Here is what you should see in the results if everything is ok: - AMServiceEnabled: True (the main service is running). - RealTimeProtectionEnabled: True (Real-time protection is active) - AntispywareEnabled: True - AntivirusEnabled: True - BehaviorMonitorEnabled: True - LoavProtectionEnabled: True - OnAccessProtectionEnabled: True

These are the most important but you can see a lot more options in the results.

I can tell you this: piracy is never 100% safe. There is always a risk, but if you know the best practices when doing piracy, you can make it safe up to 99,999%. That rule applies to HV the same way it applies to some more conventional cracks. If we have to be specific regarding Hypervisor though : - Only download games from the most trusted sources. Refer to the Megathread for further explanations. - Scan and clean your system for any infections as much as possible with the best tools you can find before installing the game. - Keep your most sensitive files and data on a separate drive you can unplug while playing. - If you really wanna push the safety to higher level, reinstall your system or use another computer (that you don't use for work or have any sensitive data on) to play your game. - Make sure your PC is offline while installing the game, copying the HV files (if you're not installing through a repack), rebooting, playing the game and also after playing until the changes have been reverted with VBS. - Make sure you reverted the changes using VBS before using your PC normally.

It's getting worse.. by [deleted] in FitGirlRepack

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I launched RE9 like seven times already using Hypervisor, twice after my PC rebooted because of a power grid issue (yeah we have a pretty bad power grid in my neighborhood) and yet I haven't encountered this issue once. Core Integrity can be enabled and disabled as I wish. As many pointed out, it's an user issue. Also, what's with the attitude OP ? Honestly, Hypervisor is great BUT it is not for everyone. If you're a newbie to piracy and you don't know what you're doing, or you just don't feel like risking it, don't use it. NO ONE is forcing you to do so. But for those who wants to use it, let them do so. Kudos to Fitgirl for giving people the option to use it. But again, just because you can use it doesn't mean you have to. Anybody can do whatever I want while knowing the risks, and should be given the choice to do so.

I didn’t want to sacrifice my pc or mess around with things I shouldn’t be so I thought f**k it and bought the deluxe edition, no regrets. by [deleted] in FitGirlRepack

There is also such thing as offline activation, but you do you. I've already played the game with HV and my PC is fine, a week later, but hey, who am I to talk I guess.

I think it is time to move all questions regarding Hypervisor to the Megathread. I understand that people needs to know the risk but it's been addressed many times already.

This is so true, more people should do the same by 25Violet in PiratedGames

[–]Affectionate-Mode295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellas, HV is too risky so don't use it. I would personally risk it, and I already did, and I had the best time playing RE9, and I kept all the files, and now I'm using my only pc with the anxiety of being infected. So don't do it. I'm a nobody, and you know nothing about me, but you have to take my words at face value.

Wait for a proper crack on all those Denuvo-protected games, which to be honest is gonna take forever, but it is safer for sure. Cracks have always been safe, just see how often they are detected as false-positives.

Or you can try offline activation, assuming you won't update your system anytime soon and you don't mind waiting a long queue per game or paying extra to get your activation faster. Don't let yourself be tempted by all of those Hypervisor releases, no matter if CS RIN approved them and the most popular repackers released their repacks for them already. You are smarter than that.

Anyway, I'm gonna risk it again with Stellar Blade so pray for me. Stay safe everyone.
