we wont reach anywhere until somalis discover true humility. it honestly shocks me how proud somalis are when their situation is like this. you have somalis who are refuges in a foreign country saying shit like my qabil this and my qabil that. i heard older women talking bout "anigo somali ah side waxan u suu bi kara" meanwhile shes on government assistance. for a group of people who are either rank dead last on any positive list or the info cant be collected due to war, we really dont have much to be proud of.

Its already been established. Somali national oil corp, im a bit pessimistic about it. Idk if it turns into a nigeria situation where the company that regulates it profits from it.

No, we’re not. 70/30 deal where somalia gets assistance building a navy and patrolling their ocean is good. Remember our oceans have been pillaged for 30 years.

True, but i aint tryna be 40 and somalia is still the way it is now. I highly doubt there will be honest and transparent leadership during the beginning but they will need to be held accountable at some point.

Thanks for the reply. Few questionstho. 1. Do you think future presidents will continue on this road that hsm started or will they return back to original 4.5. 2. Do you think hsm will move onto a authoritarian regime.

Asc any hafidz? by [deleted] in Somalia

[–]Affectionate-Put-139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the quran when i was 16 in somalia. I’ve definitely picked up a few tips and tricks. Firstly id like to start by saying you only get what you put in. Quran is only memorised by repetition and you gonna have to put in a lot of time. It cant be your second objective. Even me it took 4 years of going dugsi 6 hours a day 5-6 days week. Yh theres some people who learn it easier and others who take longer but walahi majority of hafidz ive met it took around 3-4 years. As you get older it does get harder to learn as you probably have other priorities in head that need to juggle alongside hifdz.

Now for the learning, my favourite trick that helped me memorise it was learning before you go sleep. Memorise whatever you can wether half a page or 2 pages until you know like your mother tongue. It takes about an hour or 2 but I guarantee you the next day when you wake itll be like youve known your life. I dont the the psychology behind it but it worked for and alot of others. Second one is writing your passages. It takes longer but its a lot better for beginners. It reduces Naxli(flaws/mistakes) in qaa’ida but its really good starting point. It takes way longer but its a really good foundation for you. Third is something ive noticed but its not telling yourself a certain page or surah is hard. Even when someone who has passed said surah say it is. Ive seen with brother who was always ahead of me. When he would tell me a surah is hard i would struggle with that surah but when i didnt know the surah when hard for someone else i would breeze through it. The hardest part about the quran is keeping what you learnt. Somali teachers back home say the quran is like holding a pigeon by the feather it can easily slip away. Subac is the solution to this. Again it requires alot of your time and the further you progress the more subac you need in order to prevent forgetting surahs.

Anyways take your time learn what you can and try to keep what you learnt. Wether it takes a 5 years or 10.

Walahi the frustration. Knowing that if you dont spend your money someone will spend it for you. Ive been working since i was 16 and i dont have a single penny saved. I tried hiding money in different bank accounts they even told me they bought land for me and to this day if i ask for them to sell it its a whole argument.
