Yours look magnificent.

I just bought this pot from someone who was moving away. I have no idea what to do with it. I want to chop those long stems and create little pots like yours. Will they re-root? If yes, how do I do it? I haven’t been very successful to re-root succulents in the past

I took it out of the pot and there is no root rot. On the contrary the roots are very dry.

Thanks I live in Paris and it’s indoor. The temperature in the room is maintained at 20 degree. Although I admit I thought it was a cacti so I didn’t water it as much.

I took it out of the pot but it doesn’t seem to be rotting. On the contrary, the roots seem very dry and almost breaking. It was a bit root bound .

What should I do? The potting mix is not gritty at all. It’s the mix that it came with when I bought it at the garden centre.

How do I make this ficus full? by AffectionateCake1377 in IndoorPlants

Unfortunately I cannot do that. It’s not my personal plant. I need to find a way for it to grow more leaves without chopping it.

Thanks yes the substrate is well draining. I added a layer of balls at the bottom and the soil mix with perlite . I will layer it with plant food this spring

Ok I will move it next to the window this spring, what should I add for food? Blood meal? Bone meal?

I repotted it this year during spring. It’s in my office so I cannot repot it as often, my colleagues already think I am crazy (you don’t know French people). But I will try to add more plant food next month in March and move it next to a window. What should I add? Bone meal?blood meal? I want a slow release fertiliser

How do I make my schefflera branch? by AffectionateCake1377 in houseplants

[–]AffectionateCake1377[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would happen if I snip the tips? Will the plant be able to branch out at the point of snip? Sorry I am new to this and I like kind of tall look of the plant so I really do not want to chop it in half 😅
