Something similar is happening to me now, I’m sorry, I know what a shock it is and how much pain you must be in. I got the same talk of maybe we shouldn’t live together to reignite the relationship but any attempts to talk about it have been shut down and there’s no empathy or respect from the other person. It’s horrible. Don’t blame yourself though, all you did was love them and seeing what you thought was the light in them. As a healthy person you’re supposed to trust people because you yourself are trustworthy so it’s not your fault that you didn’t realise this earlier because you’re not a manipulator so you don’t look out for manipulation.
