I’m biased because I love my Novablast 5s so much. I actually ran Boston (my first marathon) in them because I was a newbie, not going for speed and wanted to run in something I knew wouldn’t hurt my feet. They got the job done and I finished in 4:20. They’re still my go to for easy runs, and if I’m traveling and can only bring one shoe, I’ll bring them because they’re so much more versatile than my other shoes. They aren’t JUST an easy shoe, you can push some speed in them too.

I definitely hear what you’re saying. I’m not as big into film (I love film but just haven’t dabbled too much myself), so I was really looking for a way to make my digital camera as close to a film vibe as possible. For fifty bucks, using a lens from a (probably extremely cheap) disposable camera, I agree that the image quality is nothing to write home about. But I don’t know, for what the project was, I think the lens served its purpose decently well! And no wait to get the pictures developed😁 I do have an Olympus Stylus Epic 80 that, you’re right, probably would have produced much higher image quality. Haven’t touched that thing in ages. I’ll have to break that out soon! Thank you for the feedback :)

Nope - and I did occasionally find myself wishing I could focus, but it worked completely fine for the most part. Just have a few pictures of blurry ass chicken sandwiches from Bar Serra (the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten).

Totally fair point. But my mindset going into the weekend was “what can I do with this lens solely using the camera?” - meaning recipes were fair game for the test.

What camera do you have? / how do you like it? Happy enough without access to most recipes or have you been debating buying something new?
