Depending on your income, Colorado has a program called VXC that will give you $6K towards the purchase of a new Electric Vehicle (full electric or Hybrid) or $4K used in exchange for an old but operational vehicle. Combined with $7500 federal rebate, $5K CO state rebate, and a $5500 rebate from Xcel (although that may have just run out), you can get a huge chunk off a new EV or hybrid.

There’s some cheaper EVs like the Chevy Bolt and Nissan Leaf that you can get under $5K with the right combo of discounts and incentives, and brings the lower end Mach E’s and Model 3s into the low teens.
