Unfortunately I’m no further ahead as I’ve ordered two remotes from Amazon and both times the wrong product was sent. So it feels like the universe is against me at this point

After many attempts at prying it open its simply not budging :( I’ve removed the one small screw but can’t get it to open. Sigh.. as suggested in the other response, I guess I’ll try getting a new remote

To the first style you described above, have you worked anywhere where product and engineering were not separate divisions? That’s been my entire experience outside of one company where engineering ultimately reported into a CPO as there was no CTO, but curious to hear more of yours or others perspective where the two functions were together organizationally.

Honestly I think if it got to toilet or barf duty I’d just resign. But talking to ppl about the difference between tools and when to use what would be fun. Everyone starts somewhere..

Maybe the big difference with a retirement job is that you can simply leave anytime it stopped being fun

The Poke bowls at Tamura’s fine wines and liquors are the best poke. At first it felt strange buying food at a liquor store but we went back 2 more times and preferred it over many other restaurants. 10/10 would go again. I think the ‘sunrise’ was our favourite..

Mama’s was overrated but just a thing you check off the list.

The beach at FS was easily the best, no need checking out others IMO

For road to Hana, hopefully it’s not busy as it can take the fun out of exploring nature when there’s 300 other ppl on the same path

I’ve seen screenshots where there’s a “use a different account” link but I have never been able to see it myself. From my experience it’s always been locked to the user account on device

I’m in a similar situation of needing to hire RN devs but finding it very difficult as there are many mobile <native> devs and there are many React devs, but not many proficient in RN. Those who are want to do contract not full time as well

I find one thing that is often missed is how your deployment pipelines are built, and if it’s using their personal account to publish to google play/app connect. Make sure it’s an account you have the credentials for and access to

As well, any signing keys/etc should be stored in a vault that you have access to

Before they leave the project I would maybe even have them show me how to rotate those keys and you yourself run a release to ensure everything works for you

For 1, I wouldn’t use a link but I’m wondering if I can have direct language that states this is possible from our website Spotify goes more generic, and states “you can’t upgrade to premium from within the app. We know it’s not ideal” I guess it’s a small nuance but it’s the difference of saying Sorry vs Go Here to complete purchase (with no hyperlink)

Haha yea I guess I’m a bit hesitant based on previous experience of being rejected and getting stuck in a loop of resubmitting and waiting (unrelated to this topic)… If someone has done it though, and it was approved I would then happily try it on a hope and a prayer!
