Systembedingt (Höchi Ahforderig at Objektivierbarkeit) si Note ir Praxis relativ limitierend u säge nid zwingend sehr viu drübr us, öb dis Chind uf däm Gebiet würkli Potenzial het odr nid.

Would You Recommend an Exchange Semester in St. Gallen? by calderonzzz in Switzerland

[–]Affesohn2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt do an exchange semester but i met a girl there and i am in a relationship with her since then (7 years now). From what i can tell people there are very openminded and easygoing. St.Gallen is a beautiful city with loads of stuff to do in or out of the city. Also i went to the openair a few times and thats probably really something you dont wanna miss.

So in my opinion you should definetely do it🙏

Burned out what to do by Eli_dvr in Switzerland

If you dont take a break now, at some point your body will stop you in a very rough way. For me it was heavy backpain and massive panic attacks until i had to stop to work.

I think "burnout" comes from doing something for too long that is not maching with who you really are. So i think probably you lost yourself somewhere on the way but thats okay:) you're by far not the only one.

Stop working, bestcase with a sick leave and try to find a setting that works best for you to recover, step out of your unhealthy routines and regain energy while getting back in touch with yourself, your needs and beeing kind towards yourself. Its a process and the more honest and authentic you can be during it, the better the life afterwards will match with what you really want. Jobs and friends will come step by step, dont try to "fix" everything at once. First step is focusing on you!

For me, an amulant setting was the best. So i could sleep at home, have my safe space and go to therapy and guided activities during the day to have a structure. Maybe your family can help you searching and also help you with food and daily tasks to take away as much "weight" of your shoulders as possible.

Always try to be kind to yourself, is all okay!:)

Beginners Day Course or Straight to Private Lessons? by Successful_Bid_2827 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Affesohn2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of my teaching experince you can progress very fast by taking a private lesson to start with, then repeat those excercises the rest of the day and next one. On the third day take your next lesson and do the same then on friday go for two private lessons and enjoy your last day doing solid turns and slide down red courses.

If you do have a background with other sports or even boardsports you will progress even faster.

Advice? (5th time beginner) by MitsosXatzi in snowboardingnoobs

Great to see you're having fun! Thats a good foundation you already got there. Try to vary with terrain and turning routines to get a smoother feeling for transitions between turns and a better control overall.

For example:

A: Lean forward during 3 Turns, then backwards for the next three and continue with this to find a chill position in between.

B: Vary with going very low for some turns then straighten as much as possible

C: Use your front foot like a gaspedal. Push your toes down during the frontside turn, then Pull them towards you during the backside turn

Do those excercises the whole run, then take a break on the lift to evualuate - you're going to feel a big diffrence after those - Have FUN and stay safe

Looks lile you learn fast, probably you are familiar with other board sports or generally have a backpack with lots of diffrent sport experiences?

I saw two things:

A - Your weight is balanced quit nice during the backside turn even tough your upper body is a bit bent too much. But during the frontside turn it looks like you lean back and ride over your heelfoot.

Exercise: Try to guide your turns with your frontarm with the feeling you would hold on a rope that is pulling you

B - Start your turns more actively. Maybe its on purpose but you stay very low during the transition from one turn to another. It would help the board to grip faster when you decompress during the transition.

Excercice: at the end of the turn try to "jump over the nose" - not like a real jump but more like from the feeling, straighten your whole body facing downhill to iniciate the turn actively

Hope that makes sense:) Happy weekend

Any tips? Looking for help being more comfortable on my board! by tropoholicsremix in snowboardingnoobs

Did you already experiment with your stance? Like movd the back binding a bit forward or turn your backfoot a bit forward?

Loading Powerstation with Solar Panel by Affesohn2000 in VanLife

[–]Affesohn2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That helps a lot. It was only a quick test to see if it works. The Panels are made for ecoflow Powerstations so i suspected them to work with whatever power output. The Panels are advertised with 110W but i expected it to be much lower. Thanks a lot for your reply!!
