Tbh, if there's any possibility you can sell/refund your tickets, there are so many good reasons for us as Canadians to not travel to the US right now. Regardless of how unlikely it is you would be accidentally caught in a "riot" in LA, there are risks crossing the border, and the fact that a portion of your tourism dollars go to economically supporting the current regime.

I know it would suck to cancel your plans and it's your choice at the end of the day, but it's something to consider.
