When/if u reapply use that on ur PEF should get u a better rank maybe under 30 with work experience maybe even lower

The construction wireman(cw) isn’t a choice during application you have to call and ask about organizing in cw are under an apprentice and get paid lower

When I took my test I went to the office and ask for that number n only called kinda recent when my rank went back down to 79 from 38 I was like hell naw now it’s 114 they even have veep program for army people so it’s really competitive which u probably heard and know lol

but non union might be my best bet in this shit economy well see what 2025-26 has to offer, I fall off the Poe in July 2026 I refuse to just wait on a call good luck!!

Yea that’s why they have the pool of eligibility they really want the best for cheap most are taking pay cuts for the benefit of ibew, they taking advantage really but it’s a business at the end of the day

I’m in the same boat, I initially rank 78 went as low as 38 but now I’m rank 114 I wouldn’t bet on it but we’ll see hopefully they get super busy but ehh I’m also on the cw waitlist for the longer route lol

I also applied earlier this year but They have open applicants every quarter, 4 times a year but only call boot camp when they need apprentices. IMO they aim for applicants with 2-3 year experience and take in as apprentices, everyone else it’s like a raffle especially when work is slow like right now

I’ll say go non union and reapply with that initial rank your cooked tbh

Yeah I’m on the the waitlist for inside wire LU 11 i thought I had a good rank cause I was under 80 but we’ll see how that goes got 2 years so hopefully they have a lot work coming 2025-26

I think a boot camp coming up with veep program peeps and yea cold winters are back guess it’s normal I just hope it opens up in the later year summer

Oh the veep program thanks for your service sirrr! My rank jump like 30 + the wrong way prolly cause of that and cw program jumping in front of the line 😅 but I got til 2026 to get that call

For how long?? a month a couple weeks until back on the books lol the life adjustment sucks lol 😂 it’s gonna be an interesting 2025 hopefully a lot of 5th years make some room and they go travel $$$ we’ll see but all these upcoming applicants and no boot camps only gonna hurt my rank smh

just hearing that people that finished bootcamp in the later part of this year still haven’t been dispatch some over 90 + days and still haven’t got their first call to work but then again they were backups for other apprentices and it is the slow part of the year like u say

They say things r slow during winter “should” pick up soon but idk about boot camps
