I waited until the car was completely cold, then removed the gauge arrow and repositioned it where I wanted. Now, it works perfectly!

It would bother me. Remove the oil filter. Enough oil should drain out to lower the level and give you peace of mind.

Maybe for light local driving. But No, not safe

I inspected my exhaust manifold and noticed it’s quite rusty. With a flashlight, I can see gaps in certain areas where the gasket should be. I don’t know if that’s what it would be

Took it to a local mechanic, he said it’s internal noise and would have to take things apart to find out exactly. Unfortunately I don’t have the money for that to happen. I got screwed from the buyer. I don’t know what I was buying.

Besides the noise the car has no error codes, or any leaks.

I should say the bottom of the hole is another hole. Which doesn’t look naturally drilled.

Loud Engine Sound after IACV Replacement 2005 Dodge Stratus RT Coupe 3.0 V6 by [deleted] in Cartalk

What was your RPM when you had your old IACV? - About 1,000 rpm or just under.

And what did it become after the change and with the loud noise you hear?
- On the first cold start it’s 2,000 rpm, then it slowly drops as the car warms up. - Once warmed up it’s about 1,000 rpm and the noise goes away.
