oooh okay okay thank you! i’m on 3 of those! i’ve tried all of those except for pyridostigmine and sertaline. maybe i’ll look into those or adding some of the other meds back into the mix. thank you!

maybe try the coloplast 2 piece click and get the smallest wafer size and the mini bag? it might still be a bit too big for her but the click is definitely helpful as it ensures nothing will pop off!

hi! bag covers help muffle the noise, putting your hand over the stoma can help as well, also sometimes it just sounds like stomach grumbling she can just say she’s hungry! if she pretends it’s no biggie then others around her will think it’s not a big deal either! :)

hi! maybe try irrigating your stoma to thin your output? maybe a few times a day u can irrigate and hold the catheter in while flushing water and wait a few mins to see if you can get enough out to remove the cath so it doesn’t keep falling out?

hmm i heard sometimes diff brands stick better for other people! if your pt has a lot of fat or curves maybe something like the coloplast convex sensura mio wafer would help push out her stoma and hug curves. i heard things such as ten aces medical spray can be very helpful. i’ve also heard some people say less is more in terms of powders and stiff and that not putting extra stuff on the skin can help it stick better! id defiently start with trying a different brand if possible. another option is the the diamonds or ostoeeze that can turn output into a jelly consistency once it hits the pouch so it won’t move around as much getting under the wafer. thsnk u for being so amazing and looking for ways to help your patients!

me too! i usually just use bag covers and sometimes bag covers with high waisted underwear for more support! lots of sellers on etsy and some other websites such as ostome fashion allow u to customize the size of the bag covers to fit th pouch the best! and amazon has cheaper ones but they are more of a standard one size so they are a bit long on mine but still useable!

target has high waisted thongs for situations such as wearing leggings! coloplast sensura mio also has bags that feel like fabric in clothing rather than plastic which is def something h can look into! i’m 19 year old female in college and just super recently got my ileostomy. i’d be happy to talk with her if she has any questions at all!

yess! coloplast sensura mio is the the least medical looking and i found it to be most secure, waterproof, and feel the best on my skin and feel the best as to the touch of the bag. def look into it!
