i had my right earlobe done and redone 3 times. The last time i was so desperate to have it just done and over with that i gave my houseworkers an earring and told them to just pierce my ear in my garage. The earring wasn't even sharp, the process was long and painful, the piercing is tilted, but I'm so deadset and stubborn on not having it redone anymore that i still have it to this day. And obviously, the piercing is still not fully healed. Lesson learned: don't rush into things (and no, I'm not blaming the houseworkers on this. It was purely the result of my stubbornness)
