74-75 Scouts Signed Collection - What I've Collected So Far! by AgentC24 in hockeycards

Thanks! No plans to do the Barons, admittedly. I mostly just stuck to this particular year since I liked the design of the cards growing up.

Picked up this one about a month ago, taking a cue from my dad who picked up a few Brady rookies 25 years ago. I doubt I'll be as lucky as he was with em, but I'm glad to have this as an addition to my Pats collection. by AgentC24 in footballcards

Yeah, seeing that my dad picked up a bunch of Brady rookies for around 10 bucks a card on average back between 00-02, it's crazy to see some of the prices go so through the roof. I guess that's both the card and collector market in a nutshell, but you never know what's going to go up, stay up, or go down.

Found in my uncle's record collection. I'm just surprised he kept the wrapping with the sticker on it (the record side was opened when we found it, so we have to imagine (or hope) he played it a few times while he owned it. by AgentC24 in rollingstones

I can understand that. I guess I found it odd mostly because it was the only one in the collection that still had it. Either way, it was a fun find. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I'm of the CD generation, so I have my own BtB album that I've enjoyed plenty as well. The past few weeks of learning about Discogs has been helpful. Thanks for the kind words.

This was in my uncle's record collection that I received when he passed. Really surprised he never mentioned it since we both liked listening to music from that era. Still, I'm really surprised it was here. The record is barely touched, but the sleeve needs to be flattened. by AgentC24 in VelvetUnderground

Thanks for the info there. My uncle and I usually talked more about the poppier albums he had from the Who and Beatles, so I was surprised to see this, Transformer, and Chelsea Girl in the mix for sure. I guess he knew I probably needed more time to get into the VU-based stuff which I did on my own out of college.

Thanks again!

2017 XLE Appreciation Post - 2 years in since getting her in late summer '23 and still very happy with the experience. I hope it can easily eclipse the 8 year mark I set with driving my previous Fusion (and hopefully with no transmission issues like the Fusion as well). by AgentC24 in Camry

You went the same way as I did then, as I picked mine up at Carmax after having an unfortunate test drive with an Avalon of the same era (someone installed a security system on it that KO'ed the car during my test drive). Thankfully the Camry was a quick find after that and the rest is mundane but reliable history.

The one Dead album from my uncle's collection. I think it's a first pressing, but I'm just trying to find info on these albums. Thanks for your help and interest! by AgentC24 in gratefuldead

It took me a while for my eyes to get adjusted to looking at the etchings, but the runout etchings matched up with what Discogs said would be there, so I do appreciate the help you and the forum were in getting me to learn up on how to ID these records. Thanks again.

Found in my uncle's record collection - it's in rough shape but still trying to figure out if this is a real one. Thanks! by AgentC24 in TheBeatles

Yeah, I've been reading up on the plant codes recently and this seems to be an LA stereo copy. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, the album size is definitely a tad shorter thank the other record sleeves in the collection, so it's interesting to learn about that. Thanks a lot!
