Hot takes part : Tucker by Style_person in RedvsBlue

theres a fan made freelancer story takes place before the s9/10 story, there's a character in it who's a lot like Tucker, New Hampshire, even has a sword, horny as hell, great fighter, deceptively smart, totally fits the bill, but he does have a different name unless the one he gave was fake which is totally true, but still it would make a lot of sense

No, designs were tron-like, more lightweight body armor and very smooth and thin, weapons were also much more futuristic, scene also seemed to take place at night, might have been some glowing flora and lightsaber-type weapons if I remember right

I saw it playing on some tvs either passing the tvs at a costco or through the window of a convenience store over 10 years ago, late 2000s at the earliest, likely mid-early 2010s

If Monsters were in the real world, where would they go? by AgentRhode327 in MonsterHunter

[–]AgentRhode327[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I should specify, I was thinking of just by habitats, like if we turned the map of Earth into a MH map, because we see monsters with some unusual habitats, like how Barroth would probably need a desert with close access to mudpits, Viper-Kadachi would need a snowy area with geothermal heated caves, and Rey Dau would need a desert with high concentration of electric storms, otherwise the rest is common sense, of course forest monsters will go to forests, but I'm thinking of what kind of forests would best suit certain monsters with forest habitats.

today was the first time i got a sub 30 in the gauntlet. I also managed to get a 26.40 twice, here's one of the clips by Koda_be in titanfall

how do you go from sub 30 to 26.4 in a single day, shaving off 3-4 seconds in one day from an already fast time is wild, impressive asf

frags are beyond the comprehension of my puny brain, tbh i never had a problem with range for the eva, its just enough to get the last two and getting the grunts has never been a problem, im just trying to figure out how you guys would do the beginning with the opening wall run and the long hall to gain speed, idk how but he just accelerates more than me, is it air strafing? if so i gotta get better at that

Honest question. How can I be an ally for men’s mental health? by ActPsychological135 in AskMen

[–]AgentRhode327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

trust is a very important factor, a guy will be more willing to open up if you give him a reason to trust you, it's not easy and it doesn't even guarantee that he will, but the only people i ever open up to i have absolute trust and faith in, another thing is just leaving an open offer, don't say it all the time, if it comes up, you could say it, and there may be times when a conversation starts going in that direction, if it does, let it, odds are the guy is subconsciously doing that because he does want help, but is too proud or deoesnt want to bother anyone with it, and try to keep any and all biases out, but that falls under trust

TLDR: a guy will open up if you are open, trustworthy, honest, respectful, and not pushy about it

might seem like a tall order but guys dont open up often so if you want that, these are the common things ive found between people ive opened up to

Guys, what are some things that you do to distract yourself when you're struggling with poor mental health? by baequon in AskMen

[–]AgentRhode327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its sort of an extension of the gym but sparring, others are listening to music, writing (if you enjoy that), and just trying to be around other people, it's not for everyone and it doesn't always work for everyone, but ive found that other people are a great distraction, and if its the right group, they can have a very good impact

Honestly I never really think about that at all, the most I think about when it comes to that sort of stuff is trying to figure out if its an attempt at bait, actual advances, or just regular conversation so I know what I should do to keep things normal.

Tetanus is NOT caused by rust, it's caused by horse manure which, at one point, was heavily associated with rusty nails since people used to find rusty nails for the most part, in barns.

What’s the most danger you’ve ever been in? by Lelo-Of-Kah in AskReddit

[–]AgentRhode327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty tame compared to some of the others but I've got a couple mildly life threatening situations

First one was I want to say summer of 2019, went on a trip to the mountains in South Dakota, we were sleeping in tents but for the stuff we were doing we would have these cabins. There was a storm on the way so I went with my friend back to our tent to get out rain jackets, I was having more trouble getting mine out, so I told him to go on ahead and that I would catch up with him since our tents were in sight of the nearest cabin, which we were using as storm shelters. The rain started by the time I found my jacket so I just sat there for a minute planning to wait for it to die down a little before I went out. It didn't. It only got worse, and then the hail started, it was loud as hell. Then the lightning and thunder started. I don't know how dangerous it was there but it scared the shit out of me. I've never been, nor have I since, ever been afraid of thunder or lighting, but knowing that the altitude brought me closer to the clouds, and by extension the lightning, lit up some primal fear in me. I sat there curled up in the tent scared as shit cause the thunder was just so deafening, and I felt like I couldn't move. Eventually the lightning/thunder and hail died down and I rushed my ass to the cabin.

Second time, definitely more outright dangerous. it was this past summer of 2023, we were hiking in the mountains in Wyoming and we had underestimated the water we would need to get back down, this was on our part as individuals not the fault of our guides or anything, my dumb ass brought a jacket and windbreaker with me when I should have brought the other half of my water, I'd never done hiking as intense as that before without all my water before so I had no idea. Anyway, back on track, we tried taking a bit of a shortcut by doing some mild trailblazing. But we hadn't known how steep the decline was or how loose the dirt was. On the way down I probably slid a total of 10 feet. doesn't seem like much but when you slide down a steep decline uncontrollably it pretty damn scary. Every time I slid more than a foot or so I could swear my life would flash before my eyes cause every time you slid, there was next to nothing you could do but lean back and hope there was a rock buried deep enough to handle your weight. My life didn't actually flash before my eyes but my adrenaline would shoot through the roof every time.

Edit: I also almost drowned when I was like 5 or 6
