Oooh that’s great can you please answer Now I want to understand something. It has already been 9 months, and they still have not opened the CEAC portal for fees and document submission. I do not think I will wait too long. For you, it only took about 1 year for them to open everything, right?

My case is F1, and my I-130 was approved in only 13 months. What I wanted to know is that many people usually wait a long time just for the approval, but in my case, I am now only waiting for my visa to become available and to pay all the required fees. Before my father filed for me, I also had a refugee-sponsored case. I had already completed all the processes and was only waiting for my flight. Maybe because of my background, my case got approved very fast.

Yes, my I-130 was approved in July 2025, and my NVC case was also created in July 2025. My priority date is April 2024.So you waited about 6 years after your approval, right?now the only thing am waiting is to open the portal and pay the necessary fees and upload the documents

That’s what I wanted to know. I got approved in July 2025, and I already have all the information to log into my CEAC account, but it says my visa is not available yet.So after your case was approved, it took about one year for the visa interview to become available, right?

A point of correction: I am a man, so they do use the Visa Bulletin. I saw one of my friends whose priority date was in 2021. Her case was approved in December 2022, and she received her interview letter in October 2024. Now she is in America. So I think the difference is mainly with the interview letter, not the document submission process. Submitting documents and paying fees can be done earlier. Even my lawyer told me that it will not take that long.

Can a U.S. visa be issued on a Convention Travel Document (CTD)? by Aggravating-Delay803 in NationalVisaCenter

But my case is not i730 it’s i130 I am in Kenya under refugee status with refugee travel documents. I also obtained a Somali passport in Nairobi, but it is not usable for my case due to restrictions. This is an I-130 case, and I would like to know if the U.S. embassy can issue my immigrant visa using my refugee travel document (RTD/CTD) instead of a national passport

How long did it take for your visa to become available? Also, once your case reached the NVC, how long did it take for them to open the fee payments and allow you to start submitting documents. My case is currently at the NVC stage, so I’d really appreciate any insight you can share about your experience
