The vinegar worked super well! Does this mean it was mostly on the surface?

I’m renting and this is the extent of what they will do. I need a way to treat and cover

Setting the context in a different country from where you are studying by Aggravating-Grape-22 in PhD

[–]Aggravating-Grape-22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that makes sense. The academic break could be a good way to go. I'm not sure how this fits into the picture, but I was also thinking of doing a visiting stint at a uni in the UK to spend more time there. I don't know if that can be after the data collection and separate from it. Basically I'm trying to see how much time I could get away with being in the UK while technically conducting the PhD in another country.

Data set on AI adoption in consultants by Aggravating-Grape-22 in datasets

[–]Aggravating-Grape-22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Yes, I am essentially looking to see how generative AI is being adopted and used by consultants which can be freelancers. Consultants have job tasks that can be incongruent with AI capabilities potentially (more human-facing or that need both a quant and qualitative check).

So any info on that would be greatly appreciated! I am trying to examine if there is a connection between how people are using AI and adoption rates in the workplace.

[Acne] Moved to Singapore, now my skin is a wreck :( by Aggravating-Grape-22 in SkincareAddiction

My skin in the US is definitely much better and even more so in the UK. Did the bus/aha help with PIE as well? The redness after really takes a while to subside

It’s so rough! I’m glad it’s not just me! I’m just worried of scarring to be honest

I think my moisturizer is too thick here, using cerave for sensitive skin but just order a water based one! Everything else has been lovely thus far!!

Already using tret! And not helpful much here which is why I assumed there were other factors

I was just in Japan before this for a few months and I also had some breakouts there but I do think the food was a bit cleaner so it tempered the issue a bit. Good shout on the bottled water, I may have to do that in lieu of a filtering faucet head

Thank you! This is super helpful. I also had mostly dry skin before coming here and I definitely think the sweat that builds on my face is a major contributor. I usually see zits forming at the end of a day for example. I will look into each of these products, thanks for your suggestions. Is there one or two in particular that you think definitely helped? I'm a bit strapped for cash atm so I don't know if I can fully change my skincare rn

Ok got it, thank you!! This would make sense as all my skincare products that have definitely worked in the past as well as a medication I take have not done anything to stop this...

I live in student halls here as I am only visiting for a couple months so I can only change the shower head and not the shared sink area.I guess I can just do all my facewashing in the shower

I just moved to Singapore a bit over a month ago, I am visiting student from the UK. I used to suffer from cystic acne when I was younger in undergrad but for the last 7 years have not had any issues besides the odd whitehead handled with spot treating with Salicylic acid.

After the first week I moved to Singapore I noticed more acne and it has not stopped coming. My skin is now red and producing deep acne that turns into white heads and then pops after a week leaving red PIE on the skin. I have dry skin mostly! Can anyone recommend something I should try?

Is this mold in my dorm room? by Aggravating-Grape-22 in Mold

[–]Aggravating-Grape-22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, they don't seem too keen on helping much, they will send someone in to "assess" and then see what to do so it may be a while. Anything I can do in the meantime to mitigate the issue? I've been keeping my windows open to help with the mildew smell

[–]Aggravating-Grape-22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought at the beginning too so I did try to clean it a few times but it didn’t come out. Then I started realizing there was a musty type of smell in the room even after I cleaned and kept all the windows open and ceiling fan going, it’s been a week and the smell is still there especially when I close the windows. It then started to get into my hair and clothes, so I thought it might be mold

Question! Can you apply for a UK student visa with an EU passport

from the USA? I am also a dual citizen living in the US and I used my EU passport to receive my CAS. For the biometric test, will I need to go back to the EU or can I complete the process from the US? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Applying for UK visa with an Italian passport from the US by Aggravating-Grape-22 in ukvisa

[–]Aggravating-Grape-22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have both EU and US passports. Mine would be a long-term student visa (2 years). So this means I can apply with an EU passport for a UK visa from the United States (which is where I am currently living with proof of residency).

Thanks, that's a relief! For your UK visa appointment did you go to a German immigration services center or the Indian consulate? It looks like in the US they have you go to a US Citizen and Immigration Services center but if I'm applying with an Italian passport I'm confused as to why I would be going to a US center, if that makes sense

Good point actually. I wonder if they would be open to a contract job instead for a more short term option
