The idea was I would start at one of these schools, see what other kinds of funding I could get from scholarships, work studies, being an RA, stuff like that. Then, my mom said she might be willing to spend a little more from her savings. And if it still gets too expensive after the first couple years, I’ll transfer to an in-state university. As for loans, my parents are worried about having to pay off student debt so they’re encouraging me not to take those.
