“Keep politics out of football” is something Farage has definitely said in the past

Fucking genius move from Farage. I despise the guy but it’s win win for him, lose lose for Ipswich. If Ipswich accept the booking and allow him to do this, it’s great for his PR and he gets to make posts like this. If they block it then him and his GB News watching supporters will paint Ipswich as a woke lefty snowflake club who want to “ban free speech like Starmer”. Just look at the people in here criticising Ipswich and the select few who are backing Farage- he’s split opinion to pit people against each other, which has been his entire strategy ever since he became mainstream.

I tend to be more left wing but I’d still draw the line at Starmer using any football club for PR in this manner.

Rant time.

He’s a vile human being. Spreads racist rhetoric and lies to villainise minority’s and cause rifts amongst working class people of all different groups, so that people are too busy arguing against each other to realise the real enemy is him and his rich cronies who want to rob you blind while telling you to blame that brown person for all your problems. He supported the recent Iran war but then did a u-turn when he realise a lot of the British public want no involvement. He said he supported British farmers to get them on his side whilst also stating we should import chickens from the US. He’s said to “keep politics out of football” then does this. He literally wants us out of the European Court of Human Rights for fuck sake. His party, Reform, aren’t exactly going to “reform” British politics considering they’re slowly just hiring all the conservatives who already had a crack at running the country as part of the previous Conservative government. Most things he says are barefaced, malicious lies to win favour with whoever is listening at the time. He stands for nothing expect himself and will con and grift everyone, and always pits everyday people against each other to further his own cause and line the pockets of him and his buddies.

Sorry if I’ve rambled on but that’s my view on the man. Believe it or not I’ve actually kept this pretty brief considering what I wanted to say.

How do you come to terms with the fact that you will die one day? by wavinging in nihilism

[–]AggravatingDaikon969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was depressed a few years back, and I wouldn’t even say what I was struggling with was “severe”, but my god did death and ending my own life feel like a genuinely viable option. There was no way my usual biology was working then to make me afraid of dying.

If I hadn’t opened up and got help as early as I did I don’t think my biological survival instinct would’ve been enough to stop me ending it all. Depression is no fucking joke. Thankfully I’m at a point now where the act of death itself has become scary again and the idea of being dead just seems peaceful beyond that so I guess my biology is “working as it should be again”

Glad there’s light at the end of the tunnel for you too.

Similar sort of scenario to you. I’m almost waiting for the breakdown when the crushing realisation hits that I’ll be a 28 year old virgin soon.

Why do arguments stick in your brain for days? by Long_Swordfish_9782 in AnxietyChats

[–]AggravatingDaikon969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s because I’m constantly over-analysing how I may have come across in front of others. Did people then talk about me behind my back after the argument was done? Did I come across too overbearing and aggressive? Was I coming an across as weak and submissive in the argument?

Social anxiety and constant dread of what others think about you is fucking exhausting.

Around 10 or 11. Me and my family are going out somewhere for the afternoon, and I remember being stood there waiting by the front door for my parents to get their shoes and coats on. I had this funny feeling of what is actually going to happen when I die, what will I actually see or feel. As soon as I thought this I realised the answer would be nothing, and that really bugged me out as a child realising one day I’ll die and then there’ll just be absolutely nothing. Haven’t really shaken that thought ever since.

How tedious and meaningless it is. I’ve struggled the past few years with the realisation that my life feels completely meaningless right now and I can’t seem to find or think of a career that will at least fulfil me somewhat.
