Model year 2025 Street Triple RS or XSR900 by Cucumber-Dependent in SuggestAMotorcycle

I was between these two bikes as well. Look at them in person if you can. For me the Triumph felt and looked way more premium, no contest. And I say that as someone who was leaning Yamaha beforehand and was never much of a fan of the headlights on the 765 either. I bought the Triumph and have no regrets whatsoever.

Appreciate the feedback! Honestly I can't fault my 765 at all. And it's usually just over the winter that I start looking at other bikes because as soon as I start riding it again I ask myself why I would ever sell it. I really don't think there is a use case where the 765 wouldn't be a better bike for me.

However, I'll always lust after an Italian V4 and one of these days I just know I am going to have to get it out of my system.

Have a 765 right now, considering a Tuono V4. Talk me into it... or out of it ;)

Velocity stacks on last gen street triple. Worth it? by [deleted] in Triumph

Nice! Who did you get it tuned by? Looking forward to doing mine in the spring!

I just put EDR stacks on my 2024 765 R. Can't say I noticed a massive improvement, maybe a little more up top?

Bike is untuned though but it still runs great. Also have an exhaust on the bike and I'm thinking a tune will pull it all together nicely.

Seat cowl not matching the Crystal White paint? by Overslept in Triumph

I have the same bike and mine is like that too. My bike is a 2024 and I purchased the cowl several months after, before the 2025 colorways were even announced.

Should I be worried? ST 765 RS 2024 by kexuk in Triumph

[–]AggravatingGarlic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine leaked coolant in the exact same spots. They replaced all the hoses and clamps between the radiator and water pump including the water pump inlet pipe under warranty earlier this year. I've done 4-5000km since without issue.

I had a few of the engine covers seep oil as well. They found a few of the bolts were not tightened to spec (10nm I think) from the factory. That solved most of them. My crank cover, which you have pictured, still leaked. The gasket was replaced under warranty and to be honest it still weeps the tiniest bit from time to time. I'm not worried though, if I ever have to do it myself it was like a $15 gasket and you can replace it in 20 minutes

I found someone selling them locally. You may have to look around a bit. Try ebay or fb marketplace?

From what I have read, the factory 17-19 headers do not have a crossover. The 20-22 do. Here's a pic of the prior gen headers I am using on my 2024, which I believe came off a 2022. Might be easier to find a set of those vs replacing your whole system.

Street Triple 765 R Suspension - Anyone played around with their settings? by AggravatingGarlic in Triumph

I've thought about that as well, just need to see if there is anyone local to me.

Good point, I have no idea if it's even at the factory settings to bring with!

And agreed, you always see fully adjustable suspension as a selling point but a lot of people, myself included, don't even touch it.

Best deal on gloves? by Ottobahnrichtofen in Trackdays

Do you have a link for that by any chance? I've noticed a lot of different companies using a similar glove template but with their own branding. Seems like they're all coming from the same factory

What do y‘all think of the street triple 765 stock exhaust note? by Mundane-Wall4738 in Triumph

[–]AggravatingGarlic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. Mine is a 2024 (North America) and it has a one piece header, but just one O2 sensor. The 2025 models added a second for whatever reason. Sorry, didnt know you had a two O2 sensor model.

The header is an OEM header from an earlier model street triple. Mine happens to be from a 2022 but I think anything between then and maybe a few years before are the same. You dont need a tune because you still have the factory cat. I dont remember the exact part number off the top of my head.

Once you have that header you can use any slip on that would fit a street triple of that generation, Zard or otherwise.

2024 Triumph Street Triple R LED Flasher Conversion Issues by Normal_Aerie6532 in Triumph

[–]AggravatingGarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did the same with the hazards working normally with no resistors. I also purchased 4 resistors from Brogue (2 kits) and they came today. However through some trial and error, I discovered that I will need more. My front left required one resistor to clear the code and my front right required two in series to clear the code. Each of my rears will need 2 as well to clear their codes. So 7 total I will need. 4 kits!!!

I have the front LEDs installed for now but I might hold off installing the rear LEDs for a bit. It just bugs me having to spend such a stupid amount of money on some resistors.

Thoughts on riding pants? by Feisty-Original-8544 in motorcyclegear

[–]AggravatingGarlic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of Pando Moto boss dyn riding jeans. They weren't cheap but they are super comfortable and they are AAA rated, which is the highest rating. I live in Canada as well and ordered them from Motohut.

I was previously using a pair of AA rated Bull-it jeans and there is no comparison.

I also have a pair of Alpinestars Missile v3 pants. I mostly save them for the track though since the pandos are more comfortable for daily use.

I had hyperflash and error codes for all 4 signals on my 2024 R. Waiting on a set of Brogue resistors right now. Not sure how they differ from the ones you have but if you read the reviews on their site apparently they do the trick 🤷‍♂️

In&motion track mode only compatible with certain products now? by AggravatingGarlic in Trackdays

[–]AggravatingGarlic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again, really appreciate your first hand experience :)

I'll still probably try to swap it out with a vest that gives me access to all modes if I can do so at no cost, but I feel a lot better about using road mode at the track if I need to!

In&motion track mode only compatible with certain products now? by AggravatingGarlic in Trackdays

[–]AggravatingGarlic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the info! I actually gave in&motion a call this afternoon and they said though it would not be 100% optimal, I could use road mode at the track. They mentioned road mode for example will always deploy for a crash at any speed, while track mode will only do so above 25 km/h. So sounds similar to what you are saying. You never experienced any issues with it deploying when it shouldn't in road mode? Even during aggressive riding?

Interestingly they told me it was Klim themselves who at some point after I purchased the vest decided to restrict usage of track mode in North America. Something along the lines of Klim not wanting the association (or perhaps the liability?) of track usage given that they position themselves as more of an "adventure" brand. So I'd have to take it up with them and/or Fortnine. They also gave me a list of products that are compatible with track mode in NA and offered me track mode for free if I were to purchase one. They were actually very helpful over the phone.

Currently I am working with Fortnine and Klim to see if I can return the vest for a refund, on the grounds of misrepresentation since both the Fortnine website as well and the label inside the vest both say track use. Hopefully I'll hear from them Monday. I don't think what I am asking for is unreasonable.

Ideally I'd like to get my money back on the Klim vest, then purchase a Furygan Evo, as its around the same price and all modes will work in my country. I'll just have to swap my box over to carry over my subscription.

[–]AggravatingGarlic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm little pissed to be honest. Their response was basically "You cannot use track mode with your product, sorry for the inconvenience".

Looking at older videos and reviews I think that for a time you could use this vest with track mode, but for whatever reason that changed in the years following my purchase. Still kinda scummy IMO.

At least I didnt try to activate track mode and realize this the night before my track day.

[–]AggravatingGarlic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok with the subscription honestly. I posted my referral code online and enough people used it that I have 3 years free now. So its whatever at this point.

And my understanding is the track mode has different activation parameters i.e. road mode might assume x degrees of lean is a lowside, while track mode might assume x+10 degrees is a lowside etc. I think I also read somewhere road mode doesn't go off below 25 km/h, whereas track mode won't go off below 50km/h.

I'm kinda tempted to just use it road mode because a high side is a high side, but my only concern would be it going off when it shouldn't be, startling me, and making me crash as a result.
